- 100 Day challenge in a minecraft flatworld! I want to see what its like to survive 100 days in a world that is totally flat and has limited resources. We take on the ender dragon, go to the nether, and even build a castle survival base!

@@indigoselinger1640 I'm with you both on this one, the format has been dominated by exagerated and faked stuff. The lack of mega builds and the simplicity make this video's charm and I'd like to see it continued in this format or a different one.

Love the format, especially when there isn't the stress of hardcore. Just gives gem a way to go nuts w creativity without a story to follow or the expectation of mega builds. 👏👏👏

I wish there was other biomes in flat world to get other woods, but then you would have to specify the layers of blocks for each biome
@@volehunter Or just have different forest biomes, which all have dirt underneath. That way, the only thing you need to specify is some sort of biome placement algorithm and you're good
what about wandering traders haha those have all kinds of saplings

You can actually accomplish quite a lot in superflat. And it's fun for a long time, I've already played for over 70h on Superflat SMP with my friends. The first video about it is on my channel.

That final shot with shaders on is stunning! Really cool build, I would be curious what more you can do in this world, actually. Maybe once the Wandering Trader gives you something useful, you could transform/augment the stronghold. Or maybe you spend most of your next 100 days in the Nether or the End of this world, although I'm not sure what inspiration would strike you there.
How lovely to see Gem back with villagers! She's so sweet with them, rushing back to tell them her news and making them beautiful homes. I'd love to see this continue and develop, but if you're thinking of a fresh 100 days could you do one where you have to stay in a specific biome? Like 100 days in the desert, 100 days in the snow etc, and only use what you get from that biome? I suppose like the 16 chunk challenge games

I always saw Gem respecting iron golems,keeping them alive for village defense.
But it's first time I am seeing Gem being mean to iron golem.

I think my favourite thing about watching your videos Gem is that you truly seem to love just playing minecraft for the sake of it, which is something we can all identify with. Of course you're making a video too but your real love of the game really shines through and is so inspirational 🥰
I myself have recently started a Flatworld survival world, and I rly just got tired of the same constant blocks, but seeing this has given me some ideas as what I could do in the world, as well as not completely forget abt it!

Islands mode would be a fun 100 day challenge. It's a vanilla world creation option, limited to one biome, but divided up into islands over the void.

I recently started playing on Superflat SMP with some friends and I love to see how more people are trying this, it's so much fun that I spent over 70 hours in the first 8 days of playing!

Honestly, I think your builds here were beautiful. Sometimes, a restricted block pallet brings out the best in builders. You definitely rose to the challenge. I'd love to see you try this again, but in Hardcore. 🤠👍💕

I remember back when I was younger me and my dad building sky bases on super-flat worlds in creative, and we had a stronghold in the sky. We actually turned it into a really cool ruin and ran around in it. It was super fun, and I went back to that world today, and remembered how satisfying the sound of breaking glow stone is. I think the version was right before the addition of the acacia trees. Ah, good old days of the PS3. Glad to see your back up Gem, and we cannot wait to see what else you come up with! 200 days would be really cool to see as well :>
To be honest, I really, really like this! It brings back so much nostalgia form when I used to play Minecraft regularly and just use oak or stone because I didn’t have patience. This is super relaxing and overall an enjoyable video!

Love this idea. I tried it once and wow it's difficult. I spent the first few days wandering around and punching slimes to try and survive. It's so fun to do because it's really difficult.
Gem I just love this video. Shows me how creative and wonderful you are at finding a way to make every Minecraft day count. I love your decorating style and the fact that in a world with limited block palettes you can still make everything look awesome. I feel like you have challenged me, and I might do one of those myself.

Gem is such a good builder. This video proves that mega isnt always better and even the terrain doesnt matter. All the details were beautiful and her gradients are always so pretty.
I loved that this was a mixture of gameplay and just pure building, but I can't help but to love the fact that most of the end game stuff was done at the end of the 50 days so we could spend more time just vibing, watching the village grow and as always seeing beautiful creations! Thank you Gem!
