Enchanting does just give +1 to all stats - it gives +1% with a minimum of +1
For the last day of wave 1 I crafted full level 1 epic armors, weapons and some heroic jewelry. Enchanted everything to +6 and +8. Went from 200hp to 650hp on a level 1 fighter and was able to take down 15+ goblins at level 2 😅 Also got a lot of strength and other stats that boosted the damage. Still struggled with mobs 3-4 higher levels when I was level 3-4. Was fun to test tho :) Spent 100 gold on enchanting 😅 A lot of people on the server helped me to get the legendary and epic copper, zinc, oak and other stuff I needed to craft everything. Grem skins proved to be the bottleneck for crafting legendary level 1 armor, could only get my hands on rare gremskin, so even with legendary zinc fragments, legendary basalt armor mod the armors only turned out epic.
*It's helpful to have 2 or 3 of the same item at the same enchant level (backups) in case you blow one up!* *Higher quality base items usually have better success chance, and higher ceilings, not sure which route Ashes will take.*
Crazy that people are already making how to videos for this game. What ever happened to exploring the game yourself and learning through trial and error?
Ahh okay. im assuming most of this is still placeholder, it makes no sense for damage to go up so little but i assume they are gonna have a multiplyer for each base weapon, and maybe rarity, to allow main stats to go up better and are just using +1 for now. I didnt even know enchanting was ingame, never saw the menu. do we just right click on a scroll to bring it up? ill go try soon.
Another guy said in comments that it is not just +1 but +1%. I haven't tested that personally, so I don't know for a fact, but it might be the case as it kinda makes sense. P.S. Yes, you just click on the scroll and do it
Enchanting giving a flat +1 instead of +X% of the item is completely broken for balancing, especially with the recent stats squish on uncommon+ items. A common NPC item you can enchant a handful of time with a handful of gold should not be better than its legendary equivalent, essentially bypassing/severely undermining almost all the core systems of Ashes of Creation, including the many professions/stations (node progression) required to gather, process and craft such a legendary item. It also makes enchanting big items that already have 100 stats a tiny upgrade, whereas small items can be increased to 300-500% or even higher of their base stats, at a much lower cost. Makes 0 sense and fully expect this to be changed to a %-based of the item per +enchant.

I will be coming back to these when I start playing the game and send other new players over here. You're doing great work here.
Thank you mate

That's an interesting test. Such armor could be great for low-level alts or quick powerleveling
Great video as always 👍
Thank you mate
Thanks for putting these together. Great work as always!
Great video! It is good to know that we have to compare the stats before going forward with legendary gear craft, amazing tip! Keep up the good work!
You are very welcome!
I like how in the intro you struggle to kill this bear: rooting, kiting, strafing, dodging. Meanwhile solo cleric: SCEPTER DOES BRRRR🤣
Haha good old first days of Alpha 2
A lot classes got nerfed and they’re actively balancing some classes so they aren’t over powered.
I mean. It's still the case. You just need dodge swipe attack and you can pretty much facetank those 10+ lvl bears.
Good job on your videos. I share all of them with my guildmates. Keep up the great content.
Will do! Thank you

I don't think quality plays any role when it comes to enchanting. At least, I have no credible evidence of that at the moment
thanks for all the guides u are making very helpful !!!
Leaving that tin node at 8:24 made me cringe. Great info though!
Haha, didn't really need that
From what i have seen enchanting is +1% for all stats with the minimum at +1
Interesting, I'll check it out and add a note if it's the case. Thank you
If you want i have the screen were we can see the +1% ?
It would be interesting to look at. You may drop it in my discord if you want to
@@FlankerAOC I sent them to you
ive always wondered why people stop at +5 when +6 gives a visual glow to weapon or armor?
Basically, enchanting system follows Lineage 2.
It has similarities, yeah

Crazy that some people think that everyone is supposed to play the game the way they want them to play the game.
Have you joined The Artisan Asylum in discord yet?
What's that?
