Excellent work. You will be enjoying having Clay to have the time now, with his marvellous abilities, helping you Arial. You are particularly handy but male strength is such a bonus and his knowledge, skills AND equipment must make your life somewhat easier I’d guess. Plus you are a fast learner my dear Arial. Now with your brother living close by, two men helping with chores must indeed be an absolute bonus. Spring is definitely here in New Zealand though this year we have had lots of gales but summer is ahead and I’ve been getting my veggies planted and annuals around my several new roses. You will enjoy your coming winter I am sure, especially the snow. We had no snow in Christchurch this year, but my old home at the foot of the mountains running down the back bone of the South Island here in NZ, has had plenty I’d say. I miss the snow myself though this city just shuts down if it’s too heavy simply not being prepared to cope. I miss having my own chickens with their eggs quite dreadfully. Pale yolks and not the same flavour although I try to always buy free range eggs, but I do wonder WHERE they are ranging if they don’t have beautiful orange yolks especially in the summer when the grass is plentiful. Margot ❤️❤️❤️ NZ
What a wonderful home For the chickens and ducks. They have a pampered life. I love that tarp. Store bought tarps last a year or two and you start all over
I love your animals! chickens seem very content with cats in the pen. and always those ducks! waddling off to the creek😊 A treat for me on a Friday night😊
@Ariel if you have a look at what Etic & Arielle from Simple Livjng Alaska just did on their new property ti winterise the chicken run. Much the same as you've done but with some clear plastic corrogated sheets to keep out the blowing snow/rain and snow from snowdrifts. Just a suggestion I thought may help as they live in a very similar cold climate and maintain a very warm dry healthy environment for their birds also. Great to see you having Clay to help you with that heavy silage tarp, but what a blessing it will def be. Thankyou for sharing & til next time. May peace love and joy abound in your hearts as you serve the risen King of Glory. From Australia 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👌👍✌️👏👊🇺🇸
Ariel on thing I must say I take away from your channel is that you constantly prove that it doesn't matter where you live Climate, Temps, Altitude wise you can raise have chickens/ducks & a Garden... You do so much research on what works where you live. For ex the Icelandic Chickens/Ducks for colder places like Wyoming.... Thanks to you & Clay for the content

I wish all people cared about their animals like you do. I know the birds will appreciate it.

Great. Videos. I just subscribed.
Since you have so many eggs have you worked out any swaps with your neighbors or do you preserve eggs in some way, like glassing?
Is Velcro still around? Nice and cozy for the birds 👍

Do you use radiant heat in your coop?
Can you use hay bale sides or would the chickens eat it?
Does your Brother live on the same land as you and your Father ???
That looked snug.
