Did you correctly calculate the Reynold's number and Strouhal number since the Von Karman Vorteces do not really form? Or is the Von Karman Effect just talking about the system not being able to converge to one value?

For anyone else doing it its 80m/s at inlet, viscos of 1, diameter of 1 and density of 1, which leads to Re=80
