@ it’s biased to TD / CPDB players. The weapon balancing is not in favour of anything other than CPDB. The player base, most of it, are all elitists with no sense of fun and are bad towards anyone that’s not using the meta. The devs make unnecessary or unwanted changes, a good example is what the did to katana, basically Turing it into a worse ps clone. Guns / unlimited game modes have been basically left to rot since people on XERO only like swords only, like 99% of them. The devs real money shop is predatory despite saying that all their stuff would be free when XERO first launched. I wouldn’t of mind if they were up front with it but they weren’t. They removed or changed how anything that’s not CPDB or TD friendly. Either got rid of them like Vital Claw and Iron Boots or changed them too much like what they did to Katana. Back to the real cash shop, the exchange rate for PEN and ZP is basically a scam, for 1000 ZP you need 10000+ pen. The only good thing about XERO is that they updated the graphics, it’s very stable and its got a lot of players. That’s it. I liked it when it first launched because it was still old S4, sure they made a few changes but it was ok, but when they started doing all of what I listed above, it essentially was not fun anymore unless your one of the elitists or using the meta. It should have never have merged with Renmants, that was the better server of the two.
@@LeoArctica i agree on couple of points non cpdb weapons especially, i think they shouldve not touch them at all and also i did not see any reason to remove the missing ones, as they were pretty weak to begin with so they wouldve not do any harm also yeah the monetization is very predatory: my main gripe with it is that recolors of a set you alrdy have arent purchasable as an ''upgrade'' for reduced price, find that really unfair (and well 50-60$ for any item pog) for everything else though, i think xero did an excellent job in tweaking the game making it an ''ultra-modded'' s4 version: fps uncap, fov, the new feature that lets u use an highlight enemy color is also really neat and reflects modern games, and many other things that dont come to my mind right now. they could surely improve in many aspects but at the end of the day im glad something like xero exists, i took a look at other p-servers available and i find them really awful compared to xero for a number of reasons, its not even close (not including MAX, as it does an excellent job keeping the s4 classic experience intact) oh forgot to mention that unlimited mode is actually being taken care of pretty well lately, some guy is doin balancing for xero while reintroducing missing weapons with proper balance and he is doing an outstanding job imo, wallshoot is also completely removed without any major bugs which is HUGE considering how impacting it was since the dawn of S4. so yeah i wouldnt call it bad server at the end of the day, i think its pretty good for what it does but could use some improvement (some wouldnt even require much effort like vanilla non cpdb weapons as already mentioned)
