In 2012 my mom went into a coma, at the time we had no idea why. I found her after walking home from school in 7th grade. I remember calling 911 and waiting for them to come get her. She was in ICU and my father and I never left her side for 27 days straight. The doctors told us she’d never wake up. That day as we were driving home to take care of our animals when this song came on. This was one of my mom’s favorites and it was our family’s aswell. My father went to pull over for I didn’t know why but once he parked he gave me a hug and started crying, we cried together hugging listening to this. I never seen my dad cry at the time and I will never forget that moment. As for my mom, her doctor came in and did a print out on a medication pump that was in her stomach. I asked to keep the print out from the machine that read the pump. On the bottom of the receipt looking print out from the pump was the model number of the pump. Turns out it was on recall. We told the hospital to turn it off and miraculously she woke up 2 days later

My primary school used to play this song during dismissal time, where we'd finally get to go home after a long and tedious day. Excited to catch my favourite TV show at the time, I'd hurriedly rush out the gate with this song playing in the background, with the day's work behind me. A feeling of respite, relief, and excitement after being drained of energy. I never thought much about the song at the time.

As everyone knows, students in East Asian countries are under a lot of academic pressure. When I was taking the university entrance exam (3 days), I almost committed suicide because I always felt that I had not done well in the exam, and staying at home also made me feel suffocated. But in fact, the scores had not been announced at that time.
