Amtrak121 the reason why the whistle was so high pitched is so the engine crews for the back engine could signal the crews up at the front of the train.

It's a small detail, but it tickles me to hear the overblown 3-chime on the postwar models. These poor workhorses just weren't allowed to have a pleasant-sounding whistle, it seems.

When there are no radios to communicate, you need to be able to hear the whistle from around a mountain. Those banshee's could be heard for miles.
I recently purchased three of your locomotives and passenger car sets and plan to buy more over the next few months. Excellent first rate work! It would be nice to see some more switching engines though, especially of the 0-8-0 variety. BTW I am known as "MSGSapper" in Trainz and on the forums....
To the people who will watch this video, go straight to the projects page and then come back here and comment on what the next project, the fact that you don't seem to appreciate the time and effort into all the work he has done here when all you care about is what's next. A true customer appreciates what he is releasing (aka PRR I1sa) instead of what's coming.

Great job K&L,another successful product. This is so awesome. The engine and rolling stock will fit into any PRR route. Can’t wait to see the other 6! I’m excited most for The 6325,because 6323 is at the IRM,so it will be a great addition to the IRM for Trainz route when it’s released by Matt3985.

"Accuracy". When you need to signal to the helpers 100 cars back and wrapped around a mountain, you need something loud enough that they can hear over the sound of their engine. I can't say i'm a fan either, but it IS what they sounded like.

What's really sad is the fact that we have one of these engines in preservation, but there isn't a place where we can run it. It is in good condition, but do to the fact it rides terribly and its great weight means theirs no chance of it running under its own power again.
Should the Elmira Branch or Shamokin Branch ever get made in TRS, then these old girls will be right at home. Since they handled a lot of the mineral traffic on the Pennsy.

TRS2019 came out not too long ago. But, I don’t like it because of the bleached color of the graphics and it hurts my eyes.
In my opinion I think T:ANE is better.

Hey Steve, I’ve noticed that some of the prr locomotives have a keystone on the boiler front and a circle. What’s the difference? Why not keep it the same?
Everything originally had round plates, then in the 1920s, all passenger and dual service engines received keystones. Eventually by the 1930s, everything being built had the keystone.

My stuff works for Trainz 2009, 2010, 2012 and Trainz New Era. Train Simulator 2014 is actually Railworks, not the same game as this.

Justin's Trains Since the livestream, the prewar engine got a banshee whistle, and the whistle I originally intended for both engines ended up just on the postwar. Same whistle as the livestream, just increased the volume a bit.
