This our current labour leaders are seriously unserious.
    I believe they are compromised.
How come Labour has not called for a total strike, since last year when fuel subsidy was removed n even b4 then the exchange rate had affected cost of living.
The informal sector has already adjusted their prices from the market woman to agbero they have upped their charges.
Workers in the civil service are still on the 30k monthly standard.
Even the Nass has increased their. Bat himself is still collected money from lasg as a former governor.
This nlc leaders have seriously failed us.
Edo State has been paying 70k since May this year.
Who is afraid of this government especially when these are legitimate demands.

Mr. Amadi your analysis is one sided, the government is not the only employer of labor in the country, therefore when you talk about the minimum wage in a country, the government must put into consideration the affordability. Whether or not the Federal or State governments cut down on their expenses to give room to the desired minimum wage by the organized labor what happens to the privates sector-corporation Mom and Pap businesses in the country that cannot afford to pay workers the minimum wage. Will Arise News be able to pay the amount the organized labor is asking for? Of course the two people on this program cannot answer that question because they are not on the employer's seat. It is the responsibility of the Government to ensure that all workers in the country government or the private sector are treated equally. Therefore it is tough to come up with an acceptable minimum wage with sacrifices in all levels. By this I mean the organized labor should not be thinking about themselves alone, there are also unorganized work force in the country. The media always tend to put all the blame on the government who is very cautious of the fact that decisions made should not only be for the government workers alone. This is why the government set up a committed that covered all the workers in the country to come with a minimum wage for all. Are the private sector workers not going through the something the organized labor workforce is going going through? Nigerians must understand that even without the removal of the fuel subsidy the inflation rates in the country would not have been any different. The inflation rate is up the roof across the globe. The N30K minimum wage that was the increase from N18k five years ago cannot be paid by some employers in the country and yet organized labor is turning down N62K. Inflation cannot remain for ever, every Nigerian must be carried along during this hard time that is not particular to Nigeria alone.

No! The government ought to take the lead and the organised private sector follows.
How do you rationised increased fuel prices, electricity tariff, yet salaries are stagnant.
This is definitely a call to increase corruption in.our polity.
A political class that is definitely flamboyant and extravagant has no justification in holding down salaries.
