Very helpful. I notice you are single tapping your paddle for dits and dahs. Just making sure you know, but the real advantage of a paddle over a straight key is that you can hold the paddle closed and the radio’s electronic keyer will produce a steady stream of dits or dahs (depending which direction the paddle is held). This dramatically speeds up your WPM. Thanks for the video!
But if he’s doing a string of dahs, he need not release the paddle between each dah. He can just hold the paddle down and the keyer in the radio will produce a steady string of dahs. Same with dits. I guess if you want to get arthritis early in life, go for it. But it’s unnecessary.
@@Windmill97 I think he is demonstrating the movement and adjustment of the key. It would be very hard to see the effect if he was just holding it over to one side or another.
Great video. I have been struggling to get my single paddle vibroplex adjusted. It seems to "stick" a bit, sometimes, with a dah. Not sure why. It all seems to be adjustd OK. It is an old one....from the late 80's but still looks good.
Very thorough explanation Kevin. I have their double paddle Iambic and love it. had it for abt15 years now. thanks for the info and great explanation and for sharing.de WA1RKS
Great vdeo thanks much. I will also be using my key as a side swiper so I added a jumper cable across the dit and dah terminal and turned keyer in the radio off. There may be better ways to accomplish this but still the way you showed to make adjustments still apply. Randall KA8MNP

It's a single paddle...
