About the last part of the video, talking about duel's balance: I think the main issue is that balancing gods or items for a specific gamemode is incredibly difficult for them due to UE3. When you think about it, no other gamemode has any sort of balance specific for the mode, with the exception of the "Out of conquest balance" runs, which were general changes for all other modes, and had to be disabled for duel.
I firmly believe that, if smite 2 is successful, they can make duel fun and balanced, since making changes there is infinitely more easy, and work that would usually take them months, takes them days. So, I think they should add Duel to smite 2.

28:38 one thing I think would help this would be smogon tiers: at least two different queues for duel, one with broken gods allowed and one with anything overly centralizing banned
This would increase queue times but I think more people would play duel if you could just pick how bad a day you want to have. Bans would be voted on by high level players just like smogon

Sam please don’t say to balance duel or get rid of it. Even if it doesn’t have dedicated balance, I would much rather them still have the game mode in smite 2 since it’s my favorite mode to play and watch
