Good morning Darren, I'm not a big user of clamp meters but love my Uni-t 211B . The A model is ac only. Thanks for your review. BEST WISHES FROM NORTHERN IRELAND.
A couple good features in the inrush current and sustainable backlight, but it seems like whenever they use the phrase auto detect on anything it translates into performance tradeoffs elsewhere - bad continuity and slow response among others. However this one does look decently made, but needs more input protection - I also didnt see if that split jack had any support in the back of the case.
Quite a decent performer all around..Ships with an excellent case as well...There was a tiny bit of backsupport for the inputs though it could have been better. If it did DC Current it would be the cat's meow!
Thanks for video, I have a question. You can prove LRA measure in any motor? This value of current is important to calculate generators. Cheers from Venezuela and sorry for my english.
I'm a little bit late to the party. The continuity could be a little bit more crisp. That's my only general complaint. Outside of that, I love it. I also have the aneng 203 version. My only HVAC related complaint is a lack of capacitance. But that can be done using Ohm's anyway
@@KeepOnTesting now that fluke got taken over by corporate conglomerates, there really isn't any independent companies left. Even with power tools. People Pride themselves on Milwaukee but they're still made in Chinese factories just like everything else is. I don't care about name brand anymore. I just want things to work, and have built-in heatsinks and hand soldered contacts
I bought such a device for myself, it works fine, the error is a small plus. in fact, the shape and concept are good, in my opinion it’s better to change the probes, put a better display on it (of course you can do it yourself), and raise the quality of the case materials. if it’s not made of shit and sticks, then a good device should cost $ 25, but the sensations will be more pleasant.
ZOTEK ZT-QB1 (Original OEM) is the same Clamp meter..
so as ANENG ST203
@@bluebird1422 Yes indeed, same clamp!

Morning Derek! I've heard alot of good things about the UT211B..looks like a solid clamp meter. Have a great Sunday!
Looks Well constructed...
Indeed it is!

Definitely agree that a manufacturer should pick a colour scheme and stick with it
😉👍
Especially if they aren't the OEM they need to be original somehow! 😉

LRA or Lock Rotor Amps is the current draw of a motor when the rotor is locked. So yes, you can measure this with most clamp meters this one included.
I am going to sleep but i wanted to leave a comment 😁.
Thanks for watching!

Better late than never! I agree about the continuity but overall its a great performaning clamp! Welcome aboard!
