An excellent little mini-series of Morn Hill Dan, thank you (and fam) for sharing with us. That has to be the gentlest “easing up” of a Steam Train, I’ve ever seen! Not easy to do!! …even caught the “in-section” (two on the bell) repeat, from the Signalbox ahead! Love the family game at the end, hilarious! 👌🏻
These vlogs are like buses, you wait ages for one and then... There is something very calming about watching and listening to steam trains, shame about the planning but I'm sure you got it right in the end. Thanks for sharing your trip mate, speak soon, Martin

Nice place morn hill we visited there in April with my uncle hey hopefully they dont spoil it when they redo it hopefully we will catch you guys one day as you really have helped us a lot in our journey to owning and running a caravan were now on our second van a bailey orion 440/4 but now the law is changing looking at trading in and getting a new either unicorn cabrera or swift sprite major 4 eb not sure yet but may go with something else depending on what we like when we go look at them
Hi Laura, I don't think that cats are given enough credit for their intelligence. My cat has travelled thousands of miles with me, I actually acquired her from an animal home in Austria. She always roams free and returns to the caravan regularly and beats on the door if it is shut. I will admit that the first time I let her out was with some trepidation. She went out at 6.00am and didn't come back until midnight by which time I was convinced she had gone. She was filthy and had clearly spent the day in the stables next door to the campsite. Since then she has always returned and seems to regularly check that I'm still there. If I go out for the day she will be waiting either under the caravan or sitting on the steps.
@@davidroffey9639 I totally agree, each one of my cats has their own unique character but all are very smart, I suppose it was more to do with the amount of dogs that would also be at sites and mine haven’t grown up with any so I’d just be unsure. Lots of places we have stayed does state that dogs must be on a leash at all times but there’s always those couple of owners that don’t even adhere to that and I’d be worried on that front! But I would love to bring them and haven’t ruled it out.
Really enjoyed watching your return to holiday videos, hopefully there's more to come in the future. Love stream trains they always make for a good photo or video opportunity, shame you missed the train but now you have a good excuse for a revisit in the future.
I've never been to Mornhill but it seems the Caravan Club is single handedly trying to cover the UK in gravel. I hate hardstandings! Go to Burrs for your trip on a steam train on the East Lancs Railway. There's a stop/platform 2 minutes walk from the site & you can use your club membership for a BOGOF on your tickets 😁

How about a video to a friend or family member who’s just asked to borrow your caravan for the weekend. 🥴 A go-to video for everyone who finds themselves in the same predicament Showing just the basics and all they need to know to use the van for just a few days without wrecking it!! 😁
I just had the same experience i have just had nearly two weeks at bognor regis so i thought i would go to Amberley museum a few miles away to find it still pre book only due to covid
Didn’t realise that Morn Hill is going to be redeveloped. I always thought the lower level facilities were better than the upper ones but we were quite happy with the upper ones anyway. I bit of a nostalgic journey using them. Great video as ever Dan, thank you.
Hi Bob, yeah i will be interested too. i dont think much grass pitches will be left on the lower side, so i imagine this will be the side that stays open all year round. The top half looked good, just was a bit busier than the lower side. I trust you are both well. Dan
I remember you reviewing a dishwasher some months ago. Did you buy one, or did you employ youngest child on a short term contract? Great to see you all back 👍
It’s so simple. Wear some headphones with music and try to guess what the other person is saying. We pick films, countries or actors and how many you can get in 1 min. It’s great fun.
