I thought the emerald triangle was associated with weed... also coast redwoods grow in Sonoma, Marin and Santa Cruz counties. The tree in the video are giant sequoias not coast redwood
Jeez! Never turned my notifications on for any UA-cam channel until I stumbled upon here. All contents were really amazing in all aspects. Great job! 👍🏻
Watching pictures and videos of these trees will give you some idea of their size and how unique they are. But is not like being there and seeing it yourself. I knew that and had a goal to see them in person. I was not able to climb one, but I did walk on top of the length of one that had fallen. Started at the thin end about 2 ft. wide to the trunk that was about 8 ft. wide. Took longer that I thought it would. Good thing measures/laws were put in place in the early 1900's to stop logging companies from cutting them all down. If that didn't happen, I might never have been able to see a giant one in person.
Well uh... how about watering them then? Fill up some semi tanker trucks with water and drive out to the sequoia groves. Run fire hose type hoses out to the trees and soak the ground. Rinse and repeat as the drought runs on as needed.
Sequoias are maybe the most badass tree I ever saw, It cans survive during floods, droughts and many more situations. I think Chuck Norris created them only to say hey mate looks what I made a brand new tree which can live several centuries and resist to issues like droughts, floods, earthquake, etc..
So have you placed your hand on a Giant Sequoia? I have. It's bark is very,, furry. Or hairy. But the size.. Pictures and videos pale to actually standing next to one, which I've done.
I was going to say the same thing. They have lived thousands of years and there have been many droughts worse than the current and they are all still here.
So old. I hope whats left are preserved forever. Its soooo shameful that many ancient giant trees were harvested in the 19th and early 20th centuries just to prove man can do it. These take forever to grow, to live. They are alive. A living breathing creature basically. Save them all. Im surprised they can get water to their tops.
K.C. McLaughlin Its q national park not a national forest so it has even more stringent regulations but I imagine you can fly a drone with special permission especially if it's promoting conservation.
Ned Gold That's true, but it's still so rare for that permission to be granted that it's a big deal when it happens. So far the only exemption granted was for White Sands National Monument.
It is illegal to fly down the Grand Canyon, which is a national park. You can get special permission to do so, if you can show a positive outcome. There are several videos showing extraordinary results.
California's tree? They used to occupy the west coast all the way to Alaska. California cuts down every tree it sees but the Sequoias and the only reason they're still standing is because of tourist money. California has a lot of work to do before they earn the title of tree hero.
Not trolling but how can the video state in the opening, " stressed like never before " Granted they, the trees are a thousand years old. Record keeping of tree status is no where near 1000 yrs. In record keeping. Not trolling, just seems to be a bit of an over reach.
They survived 4000 years and there was no drought during that time? and the species is millions of years old. This seems like another over-dramafication videon. Whit that said I just got my redwood seeds and they are germificating in the fridge as I write this.
That last drone shot looking straight down on the researcher in the top of the tree is amazing. Great job.
I was thinking the same thing, what a perfect shot, even with their logo that comes on top.
gave me vertigo
gosh your videos are so aesthetically pleasing
The drought is out!!!! Long live the Giant Sequoias!
I've said it before and I'll say it again this is UA-cam's BEST channel!! As always, fantastic video guys!!
AGREE
Bold claim!
If you ever want to know what's it like to visit a alien planet go see the sequoias at the forest of the giant trees.
Bill_From_Maintenance but thats where I feel most at home
I'm thankful for being able to live in the only place where these amazing things can grow so that I can see them every day
The trees only grow in a small part of northern California in a place called the emerald triangle
I live specifically in Humboldt county. Which is one if the three counties that make the triangle
these are the giant sequoias, not the coast redwood trees...
I thought the emerald triangle was associated with weed... also coast redwoods grow in Sonoma, Marin and Santa Cruz counties. The tree in the video are giant sequoias not coast redwood
One of the best UA-cam channels ever for interviews so different each time
Why so few views your amazing love the channel
Honestly thought they were going to see how far they could bend them
Same lol.
not very far, giant sequoias are a very brittle tree.
I love this channel

I'm definitely NOT a climate denier, but some of these things are 1000s of years old. I don't think a moderate drought is going to knock them out.
I love this UA-cam channel
cinematography awesome! !!!
Thicc trees will live on.
Those ppl takes my childhood game to a next level
This channel is breathtaking
Wow that is truly awesome. Why did that last drone shot remind me of Horton Hears a Who? lol
I hope the trees aren´t stressed because of researchers climbing on them constantly.
Somehow they've lived thousands of years without being stress tested.
Millions
Jeff Stanton not millions dude
Omg seriously these trees look surreal!!
I would take this job in a heartbeat.... 😱
Great report go ahead about largest tree 🌴
What an amazing species of plants... and video...
I LOVE THIS ABOUT THE TREE'S WE NEED 2LIVE ON THIS PLANET!!!
Where would we be without camera drones?
dream job
Beautiful.
Well uh... how about watering them then?

Amazing
This is a one cool job! I could work for free
Giant Sequiora: Mr. Researcher.. i dont feel so good
It's amazing!
Didn’t know trees get stressed too.. Hard life💔
Exlant sir super Job
Wow, I want that job!

How does one climb to the top of a sequoia tree?? How does the rope/line get up there before the climber?
does anyone know the song title at the beginning and the end of the video?
these trees have withstand many droughts.. no worry,s..
I was going to say the same thing. They have lived thousands of years and there have been many droughts worse than the current and they are all still here.
thirsty trees are thirsty :(
My palms are sweaty
Giant sequoias are not true sequoias. They belong to a separate genus, Sequoiadendron.
The greatest
I got an add for a great big story on a great big story video, wtf?
So old. I hope whats left are preserved forever. Its soooo shameful that many ancient giant trees were harvested in the 19th and early 20th centuries just to prove man can do it. Why not use the drones to collect the samples?
*Perfect spot for 3D manuever gear.* 😂
I hope you weren't flying a drone inside a National Forest.
why not?
It's illegal.
K.C. McLaughlin Its q national park not a national forest so it has even more stringent regulations but I imagine you can fly a drone with special permission especially if it's promoting conservation.

Thousands of years?
Yup. Many of the trees are 2000 years old. They were there and alive back when that Jesus guy was still walking the Earth
10 months
Tree and Quantum computer connected. I think????

Who thought it was Mario on the tree when you first saw the thumnail
cool)
Tree
Its for sure becouse of chemtrails
They survived 4000 years and there was no drought during that time? and the species is millions of years old. This seems like another over-dramafication videon. Whit that said I just got my redwood seeds and they are germificating in the fridge as I write this.
What if one of those trees starts walking?
eye candy shots but paltry on the science. blah !
