Joel, 😂 I have to comment. My friend, this is Serbia, a very safe place and a people who go beyond their way to help, this can be confusing for many visitors. I had an incident where we had to take 2 separate taxis, one of us arrived at our destination maybe 10 kilometers away. My son 18 didn't arrive, i got all bent out if shape in fear for his safety. Everyone helped out ended up it was just a misunderstanding of destination. I was told not to worry, I am not in the U.S. 😊 all got settled all was fine.

17:50 He said: _I'm doing this for you, not because of... (whatever), not because of myself and I'm approaching you out of good will and to drop you of at the bus station_
Also he stated, that the guys from Belgrade didn't report to the bus driver, so there a miscommunication took place.
At 20:27 He said that he understands what you're saying, understanding for your situation that is.
You need to know, that in smaller places sometimes buses have other stops, which the locals know.
In many western countries if you missed the bus, you missed it, that's it. They even waited for you.
I can understand your worries though, but hey, everything was playing out fine at the end 😊

@@EdoBudim For a seasoned traveller, especially a youtuber the option of not understanding someone is not an option especially with all today's tools (translator) available. The guy seems to be looking for the negatives and sometimes creating them. The places he goes to are not such remote isolated villages. Believe me I have travelled throughout the Balkans and Eastern Europe beginning during the Communist era 1980s. As a Black person I visited areas where people had NEVER seen a Black person even chickens, dogs, etc ran away from me!!!😂 That was the level of fear!! In Germany he would end up with a fine , or even in prison. Approaching and filming teenagers in Germany is offense. Actually, filming or taking photos of people , without consent, is also forbidden in Serbia and in the most of other countries in Europe. Better way to do it, is to ask before you start filming, Of course, there is always a ''tiny red line'' to cross, and one needs to know what to do, where, and when.

Somebody stuffed up here. Either you did not see the bus - unlikely, or the bus driver changed the plan and why was it at another stop. Seems Belgrade office did not communicate well with the local office. So most probably their problem, but the special driver picked you up...

When you arrived at the gas station the person working at the gas station told the lady that dropped you off that the bus will probably not enter the gas station so you should wait for the bus by the main road so the driver sees you but you were waiting inside the gas station. That was the misunderstanding.

    Jit there Joel and all,
That's right. Do it. Install a translator.
And by the way, even though I speak English, French and Italian. and I am from Belgrade, while watching your other adventure just to get to Novi Sad from Belgrade downtown, I was laughing like crazy. Of course, nothing against blacks or similar, we're all inhabitants of our only home. I WAS able to understand your english pronounciation, and read every now and then the text under. It most of the time did not correspond to what you were saying, because of your "different" english. You said BUS and under it was written BOSS.
The language barrier is something that an adventure going person SHOULD have in mind at all times, and expect it to happen..
    1. They told you that the bus to Podgorica will pass at 9pm, but what could be understood in Serbian is that it will NOT be stopping at the gas station, but just on the road, and go further. Than,
2., The bus driver is a human being. and (as he did not see anybody on the ROAD waiting), he forgot to stop.
Belgrade is a big city, and ALTHOUGH MANY foreigners NOTICE that many people speak english, of course, there are those who do not, usually older people. You happened to meet the girl who gave you the indications to the railway station, she was from a little town 40 km outside of the capital.
This is like (one of my own experiences) in Paris, France where you might TRY HARD to find a parisian. Most people there are from North Africa and elsewhere.
