This is 'Organic Real Jazz' in its smoothest and purest form. Ideas flow extemporaneously, and executed by Groover Washington in a 'Tranesque manner. Check Grover's and Kenny's CD Organic Real Jazz album 'Togethering'. Grover is in the mood for Jazz - Organic Real Jazz; not for Pop or R 'n' B. And so is Kenny Burell with his troupe. SummerTime Organic Real Jazz is in the Club.
Sade, Grover Washington Jr., David Sanborn, Kenny G., George Benson, Al Jareau and Jonathan Butler are the ones from the eighties & nineties who had always kept that smooth & soft image of what jazz music is really about. Among other legends. Loveface43
@mandreassi1 If you haven't done so already. Check out Burrell's album, "Midnight Blue". His was one of the first jazz pieces I ever listened to as a teen in 1964. Also, check his album, "Have a Soulful Little Christmas". Although Wes Montgomery is not chopped liver,by no means. I got my jazz guitar ears cut on K.B. and have been a staunch fan since.
There will never be another Grover .....
RIP Brother ..... Thank you for posting this.
Peace~
Love Grover’s tone….miss him since his big radio hits in the 80’s.

Beautiful!! Too bad that Kenny Burrell's solo got cut. Still it's great to hear and see Grover playing so well.
Awesome thanks! (=

superlativo
Superb! 2 of my favorites together. Where did this video come from?
super
This is a hacked version that omits Burrell's solo. The interaction between Washington and Burrell is the best part of it......and it's not here.
What happened to Kenny's solo?.please post and include it.
@zizek100
