hah, I was just kinda thinking "people used to do drugs and make music"- now we get corporate board rooms writing songs for tween entertainers. This shit is pretty far ahead of it's time given that the EDM world is still orbiting around these textures and rhythms
The video is also great. It's very dated today, sure, but when you consider the copyright date being 1987, it's incredible - this predates the Video Toaster! Music videos don't tend to have huge budgets, which makes the VFX fairly impressive for something produced before the Video Toaster cut down the cost of VFX to the point that even a small-market PBS affiliate could do fancy transitions and chroma keying on news segments in the 90s.
Pepe Silvia, this name keeps coming up over and over again! EVERYDAY, Pepe's mail getting sent back to me! Pepe Silvia, Pepe Silvia, I look through the mail- WELL THIS WHOLE BOX IS PEPE SILVIA! There are three kinds of reactions to hearing this song: 1. You’re watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off 2. You’re playing Gran Turismo 4 and failed one of the license tests 3. You’ve been dying to talk about the mail all day and a company wide conspiracy about how there’s no Pepe Silvia

You can't convince someone who has a different taste of music.
@@T3RRORGL1TCH It's not a matter of taste, it's a matter of describing what's good about it, when you just know it's good. Todd in the Shadows called it "an eclectic collection of sounds" which is the closest anyone got.

For anyone interested in psychedelic music, these guys are a crazy rabbithole to dive into.
hah, I was just kinda thinking "people used to do drugs and make music"- now we get corporate board rooms writing songs for tween entertainers. This shit is pretty far ahead of it's time given that the EDM world is still orbiting around these textures and rhythms
That makes a whole lot of sense

The video is also great. It's very dated today, sure, but when you consider the copyright date being 1987, it's incredible - this predates the Video Toaster!
Music videos don't tend to have huge budgets, which makes the VFX fairly impressive for something produced before the Video Toaster cut down the cost of VFX to the point that even a small-market PBS affiliate could do fancy transitions and chroma keying on news segments in the 90s.
@@lunalucadou877he was talking about the song
People of our time worship low quality, and the worse it is the more praise it gets.
They played this in my grocery store. Was like wtf!
It is excellent "shopping music" as Tom Waits once said.

Yes, Duffman too. But also Jerry Lee's backseat action with the poodle in K-9.
There are three kinds of reactions to hearing this song:
1. You’re watching Ferris Bueller’s Day Off
2. You’re playing Gran Turismo 4 and failed one of the license tests
3. You’ve been dying to talk about the mail all day and a company wide conspiracy about how there’s no Pepe Silvia
I remember it from, The Secret of My Success, staring Michael J Fox, which I think It's always Sunny is mocking. In The Secret of My Success there is a mailroom boy who lies his way to CEO or something.
4. You’re referencing the Simpsons Episode “The City of New York Vs. Homer Simpson”
