    50 years studying in the art of Jujutsu and I still am humbled by this man's character and skill and what he did for the world of jujutsu. What an honor to watch this man work. God Bless his memory, he joined the exhalted ranks of GM
    Michael DePasquale Sr, GM Wally Jay, GM Peter Urban , GM Pete Sirigano Sr and so many more absolute Legends. Sanuces Ryu was built on a very respected and solid built foundation and to this day is still highly respected in the Martial Arts world. RIP Dr Powell . I always loved the saying eac one Teach one Eye 2 Eye Heart 2 Heart ! He made it mean something

    Wonderful footage of the great Doctor Powell! Lucky are those to have felt his true power! Those closest to him misses him the most. In this footage he showed how much he loved to teach. Anthony Muhammad is one person who studied with 3 greats. He is the link of past and present. Looking forward to seeing more.

    • @TheSubwaysurfer
      @TheSubwaysurfer Рік тому

      I love to see you have a great jujitsu work and master Powell is a true technician no doubt. My criticism is that they seem unrealistic defenses to me. After studying Filipino martial arts for many years unfamiliar with how fast a knife moves if someone slash them to your body they’re not slashing in these wide arcs giving you time to counter. The arc is tight and quick also no one is going to do a stab at any time in Free’s giving you time to grab the arm do your break and do a throw. As soon as you turn your backWhen your attack or he will use his free hand to stop you. I’m sure these practitioners know everything I’m saying I just wish they would do knife defenses witty attacks amor flowing to demonstrate and modify their techniques. I hope I don’t get flame for these remarks I’m really not hating on the group I love what you do and I’ve been a lifelong fan

    So they’re afraid of breaking something while training? A few times the brothers had to go with it or it’s broken. I want to learn but with my health problems..... but it’s great to see this 1 love family

    I’ve liked Moses Powell since Warrior Within. He has the best demo and the best quotes. Who doesn’t like a dude cutting it up in a silk, dashiki gi. Or, Africa themed hakama. But, someone tell me the difference between anything he demonstrates and a Steven Seagal seminar.

      You have NEVER seen Hapkido, or Aikido, done like this before. Until you saw Doc do Sanuces, you have never seen Aiki-jujitsu like this before.
