Totally agree with that, but then again, I believe most players would not mind a visual upgrade. It was rumored that, at some point, Lineage will move on to a newer edition of Unreal Engine, but I guess the dev team plays on the nostalgia factor rather than trying to acquire new players (they'd love that, but they acknowledge it ain't gonna happen). Take this trailer, for instance, it hardly says any story - the voice acting is atrocious, nothing compared to the Baium story that I've had the pleasure of watching several times. The cinematic team clearly invested in the promotion of the game back then, now they are using mostly in-game models in high graphics and release it as a trailer. The lore is incohesive, constantly introducing new things out of nowhere (e.g., Kamael and Ertheia) and there is literally no reliable source where they put the lore together (they used to, but it's been long dead). Indeed, it's a shame, because the art is amazing, in my opinion, but lacks modern technical approaches, e.g., normal maps to instill the illusion of depth on the texture. Regardless, it would be a huge step to take, and a company would obviously pursue the easy way, not the hard one.
I'm pretty sure it moved to UE3 back when Kamael came out. Don't quote me on that, haven't touched the game since Hellbound. That being said you seem to forget that there are people who have shit computers and would rather have worse looking game than no game at all. Not to mention L2 has a lot more problems than graphics. Once they get their shit together then they can improve on non-essentials like graphics. I've been waiting for the game to come back to it's roots as it's been deteriorating in quality with each expansion, I keep hoping with each expansion that they would do something for people who played the game from day one but with each passing moment it keeps dumbed down, penalties are less harsh, handholding, etc. Gone are the days where you would kill someone AFK, only for them to come back and get your first D grade staff.
until c5-interlude game was so enjoyable i agree on that , my opinion is that they should remake lineage with new classes new graphs add new locations maybe keep some olds too but keep interlude gameplay , they could have made not millions but billions

Wanna add, the game has a way to be, bosses are under control of some clans and thats it since the beginning. Its like the real world, who gonna do something? I see lot of people claiming for the long of a quests, low experience, etc, etc. You prefer an easy game whit certain comfortable rules? Well this is not that game, only those who dont surrender can win something.
Lineage 2 C3 C4 C5 C6 remastered built with the unreal engine would be profitable and great game with bigger maps and new territories. Unfortunately, you need the rights that are under NCsoft property. Pay to win NCsoft system is also bad along with the new shitty chronicles.
bring with next patches more classes back please :D and please with rly eu servers the delay sucks... and please put more Language in the option... and please no hardcore pay2win! make money with skins is better and more fun
