Hey Chris, I recently got back into the hobby and wanted to procure some Scarlet and Violet expansions, to my surprise I couldnt find any trainers boxes or boosters at local game stores in the Bay Area. I went to atleast 5 different stores near me and all were sold out on most expansions.
Definitely just keep trying don’t give up hope and I would honestly even ask some of those stores be like hey what typically days do you see restocks sometimes they’ll tell you what days they typically see a restock and maybe you can get in on some of the product as it gets to the stores. Also, depending on where you’re at go to Pokémon centers website and type in Pokémon official vending machine locations and there should be a breakdown of every single city that has them and their locations. Those are also great ways to find some product. They even have 150 one product sometimes and booster boxes and six pack bundles of a lot of popular sets and these are all at MSRP
Actually believe it or not this time of year is typically when you see a lot of the lower prices for products because more people are selling collectibles to get money for other Christmas presents for their kids or other things that they’re wanting to get for the holidays typically you see higher prices over the summer when there’s more conventions and things of that nature Not always 100% the trend for every single card or every single product but that is a typical trend when it comes to Pokémon singles.
Walmart not listing below msrp. If you see a product on walmart.com for prismatic and it is under MSRP. It is definitely a scam so be careful. They are usually at or slightly above MSRP, but never below it for pre-order items.
@ yea there’s a lot of people scanning out there right now unfortunately and most of them what they’re doing is they’re taking pre-orders to get money in advance from people and then when the set comes out, they’ll most likely just refund or cancel all the orders, but they were able to use that money for investment purposes free of chargeand a lot of people are doing that right now so be very careful
