Man, you were one of my first jaw harp teachers and I love what a genuinely nice guy you are! Thank you!
Technically it's acoustic techno
Man actually is thousands years old. It is coming from asia. Mongols have used, maybe huns also. It is used also in the east europe in folk music eaven now. maybe was borrowed from mongol turkic people from central asia. Bravo and congrats for your lessons/discoveries.
It's actually that ancient that u can safely say, it's thousands and thousands and thousands... of years old. lol
@@BillyVon69 the first known can be seen in like a chinese drawing from 3rd century bc.
Very cool and useful! Thank you!
Awesome man thank you!! Just ordered mine :)
Awesome dude thank you for the technical tips
This is so cool!!
Thanks for the videos! I learned how to play by watching your videos and I Love the sound my Jaw Harp makes!
I play it every once in a while on my live streams, but just a couple twangs for new follows and stuff. =)
Mine arrived from amazon yesterday. Having so much fun. Want to integrate with other musicians instruments.
Haha, very fun! Love the zoom in. Got some new things to practice. I think I have the same harp !
Thank you for your comment, glad you enjoyed it! good luck on your jaw harp journey.
man i can't wait to try this stuff out. im gonna practice the,.. wow. i never would have thought that beat-boxing would be something id get into. this is all new to me man. i don't know anything about music. im just jumping right into the fire. lol but that untss untss is something else. :D i already ordered a chunky boy before i saw your video on recommendations. so im thinking ill make a trip to the guitar shop down the road and see what they got :D
I have tried looking for jaw harps at music stores and usually they have the Grover harps, which are just okay. I really enjoy the Potkin Vargan that they sell at www.theharpery.com/potkin-vargan
He gets his harps all over the world. So, if you aren't able to find what you want at the store that shop I just linked has a lot of awesome options
Yes, jew's harp contains the whole universe! I am sure you will not be disappointed. Good luck!
The first synthesiser you could describe as a synthesiser is a pipe organ. They imitate other instruments such as flutes, oboes, trumpets, tuba, clarinets, strings and other instruments in orchestras. The jaw harp will always sound like a jaw harp, it doesn't aim to recreate the sound of anything synthetically.
yeah, I think in those terms that's true. I was just saying that he jawharp sounds like a sawtooth synth.
Wow so tekno!!! brilliant !
Japan and The Philippines have variants of these made of bamboo.
That's awesome, i can play the radio like a beast😂. I was given a jaw harp when i was 10 and thought it was the coolest thing, im 43 and love cello but....still think the jaw harp is cool 👍
Jaw Harp is awesome.
Wow so Beautiful ❤️
M8 thats sick af
That didgeridoo makes a lot of sense after watching your video. Send me that beautiful thing.
Love from india ❤️

Amigo, você sabe qual é o tipo de aço usado na língua de suas harpas?
Listen, Dude! There is a Roland 303 missing in our stock. We don't see it, but we can clearly hear that you have it. So let's not make a fuss about it. Just return the device and everything will be OK again. ️✌️😁
Boss looper could be fun to combine with this so you could add the beat box
what tone for techno
Will u teach us finger plugs technics?? 😢
1:07 The hardest part for me while doing this is to not breath out at the same rhytm i pick the harp at.... i can hear it almost working for very little time but then i just keeps synchronizing, i have no idea how to stop it, i don't think i was ever able to tap out 2 different rhytms with my hands let alone my breathing, are there any exercises for this?
yeah, that is tough. the harp makes a difference, too. some harps don't keep resonating unless you are breathing at the same time which makes it tricky.
What kind of jaw harp would you recommend for the beginning?
I'd recommend a Glazyrin Vargan. I got a lighthouse for my first, and it's good for beginners, but also has great range for more complex playing
The one he uses in the video is also a good one. I believe he's using a Pavel Potkin
*quiet reading time*

This one guy:
In german its the Maultrommel (mouth drum) 😁
+ beat=goa trance
the thumbnail shows a different harp to the actual one that you play in the video? what is that harp?
What if you already have no teeth can this harp still be played
Oh, the guy who modeled for Alexej von Jawlensky.
would'nt count de Digderidoo as the firdt synthesizer?
Hi WurzelEule! thanks for watching!
Such a good point! I had a chance to practice the didgeridoo in my #MonthlyGoalsProject and it really does have that synthesizer feel. and it's such an ancient instrument!
Nice. But why is only your left eye blinking?
He most likely has a fake eye which shouldn't matter anyway he is still a human
@@KS33441 lol that’s definitely not a fake eye. did I say he wasn’t human? I’m just asking a question
Something I was just born with I guess. Some people are born tall, some people are born short. I'm born with a non-blinker.
@@SoundAdventurer Awesome that you actually respond to such a pointless question. Cause I agree, my question has no point, but it also was in no way to offend you
Хороший у тебя контент. Жаль, что я не понимаю английский(
Я могу помочь с переводом если что))
If anything I can translate in between :-))
Thousands of years old.
MOUTH TB303!!!
the bass drum sound. i have a better way to explain it. think of that small sound you hear while saying a vowel. even better comparison if you think of the sound of an M or N
Got one as a christmas gift and I accidentally found out how to do this but then i broke it when i bit down on it D:
But im buying another one :) because i love this instrument
I am.....buying a jaw harp now thank you 😊 you know fk Boi s were doing this 500+ years ago lol 😆 😂 🤣 😄
Can I play the jaw harp with braces?
Wow, great question--I think that could actually be pretty tough on your braces. If you have Invisalign it *might* be okay? You definitely could play a Dan Moi, though, since they do not require pressure on your teeth but have a similar sound (although they are definitely different)
i had regular metal braces and played my mouth harp without a problem. i didnt play a lot though, so maybe take it easy until you get them off?
How many do you trained for... I wish I'll raise my eyebrow like you some day.
Joke aside, nice video.
I'm a pro-eyebrow raiser! :D You'll never catch up. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Cowboy chase music be like
what's up with the eyebrow
very uncomfortable to swallow like that
So what songs are you into?
Jaw harp
What?
This:
What kind of drugs make your eyes do that
Lol! That's a Snoopy Harp, it's not hundreds and hundreds years old 😂
I'm not sure you know what 'techno' is. But yes...that's a jaw harp.
if you get a chance, try messing with a sawtooth synthesizer and you'll see what I mean.
I wonder if the Jaw Harp is painful to play if you have numerous fillings/crowns in your teeth. Since the instrument rests on your teeth, I can just picture fillings and crowns slowly getting vibrated right out of the player’s mouth. 🫨
Actually it shouldn't be that painful! Maybe teeth are more sensitive, but pain shouldn't be that present. Especially because the teeth are just like a support for the Jaw Harp, so you're actually not biting it ^^
Perhaps there were ancient Roman discos, Mongolian mosh pits, and Mayan death beat harps. I bet there were lots of crazy things we have no clue about happening in the past when it comes to music. Ancient cultures were also probably way more advanced than what we give them credit for. There are some unique vibrations I hear some folks play that I still having figured out that sound very techno. It's like this weird vibration mode they can get their harps to do.
I love the imagery of your comment. I agree! I wish we could listen to some ancient musicians and better understand what it was like back then.
