Phenomenal work! Do you think Mr.Manson was "helped" and perhaps a part of a secret society and/or government agency to push certain worldviews? For example: I find it interesting that Marilyn Manson and DMX (who grew up in and out of jail and spent lot of his childhood in "group homes and institutions" ) have Nietzsche worldviews in their lyrics.
Dude thank you for doing this for us. I think that 20 years later to grab the best cd that he had every single CD that I ever had I think that antichrist superstar was fantastic because of many shows I saw and now that years are going to teach me what I like wished I knew lyrics that I thought were something else and mechanical animals sucked to me until heard over and over and over again. Holywood was 2000 i just got out of jail and I couldn't get down with mechanical but Ill watch it next cause i watched antichrist then this then the last piece and the tarot so I need to be in the right mood cause my boys saw Mechanical animals tour and they gave me the postcard when our buddy introduced them and now with these allegations and 16 lps out now I just never kept up. I would see him again but this was the last show i saw and just as expensive and great that i get why they criticized mechanical tour and the tits outfit so thank you for ging way back and only what like 6 years back too as if you knew these were all i cared about and i subscribed to a kid called forever dirt who then did portrait and his antichrist just a years ago. So we never got the book holy wook just long hard road out of hell but you said one chapter is on his wiki and I watched every movie he was in and the i am your martyr being his best besides sons of anarchy to me. Thank again.😮😮😮😮😮❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

This is why so many people don’t understand why many people are such big Manson fans. What he did from 96-01 was incredible, artistically speaking. When people look at him now they don’t understand that there is no parallel between his current artistic state and that of the time period prior.
These Marilyn Manson analysis videos are fucking incredible!
Thanks a bunch & more on the way!
Manson would be really proud that someone s understanding finally what he s saying. Good job !!
What do you think. Not God a Demi God
It's nice to get a video like this, I assumed it was made when Hollywood came out...just realized it was uploaded this year, ..even 24 years later this album is an absolute gem.
I’m a be here for every video here on out! You’re videos are made understandable to digest even if you’re not a fan of Manson’s music, you get a “why” as to his thought process.
I appreciate you saying that, and good catch on your part ! that's the entire purpose of not just the manson videos but ultimately everything on my channel. Fans of these artists get a treat, while other curious cats out there may learn a thing or two, or at least drum up a safe space for conversation.
Also, as musician, "Coma Black" is the same chords and a similar progression and feel as "Coma White". They are almost the same song.
The "Pill to make you numb..." Is the same melody as "This was never my world...". They are exactly the same, and that's very cool that they mirror each other. The guitar that John plays is very similar as well in both songs.
Just another cool call back to the other themes. Both are the big "reveal" moment of the story. The revelation of the main characters.
Just was a cool thing I wanted to point out. Try singing the chorus to White along with Black. They line up perfectly.
Also the sample of the crowd in "Born Again" is the same as "Irresponsible". Just pitched down to be in key with the song.
Never knew about the crowd sample!
The Nobodies is also more or less the same Chords as Coma White.
Birds of hell awaiting and I have to look up just to see hell, have similar intros.
Coma White... Coma Black. Similar? Yeah it's supposed to be similar dude. think of it more like a reprisal of similar thoughts rather than a musical copy with different lyrics on top. You thought hard posting this back when you did, but you missed the point that Mechanical Animals and Holywood are in fact closely related and both great intricately related albums. I would argue they ought to be listened back to back. It's a dark experience, going from desperately hoping technology saves the earth to the same of religion and both fail that makes them interesting. Together, they scream that humanity is the only thing that can save us from ourselves. That is the message the two of these excellent albums delivers.
OMFG...I am so excited to watch this!!!!
I sent MANSON links to some of your stuff. I really hope he sees it. I truly believe he would be impressed by you.
Wow, if he even glanced at my videos for 30 seconds I'd probably have a seizure.
The Triptych and Portrait are in my top 10 pieces of Art, ever.
With or without the makeup and shock value, this individual and I would be great friends. He is a true thinker-- and he deserves more credit that to be shoveled into the same shit pan as so many other "dope clown" rock stars. One day the world will come to a point where they look back at him as brilliant artist that challenged the world on it's own terms, and ask the scary questions no one else had the courage to. You will be remembered by the ones who matter to you the most Sir, have no fear of being forgotten.
I agree. Each year that passes will see his artistic contributions grow more and more in terms of respect and acclaim.
Well said!
I'm feckin impressed! Who puts so much effort in content these days? Amazing!
I just try to make the videos I would want to watch
@TheLaunchPadStudio I will take a closer look at your work. I hope I can learn something while enjoying the content. 🖤🖤🖤
Its so nice to dive deeper into the album that probably saved my life and helped me question myself years ago. It opened all my wounds and helped healing them in a way which shaped a new self. Thank you so much, Marilyn.
I’ve been searching for ages looking for a deep dive analysis of Manson’s earlier works.
Thanks for the effort and detail put in to this video. 👏
You're welcome. I glad to hear it was worth the wait
I remember buying this album in 2000. It was such a victory for me. My parents were religious by association and absolutely put on the act to look better amongst their deeply religious friends and family. I would hear them all talking about Marilyn Manson this, and Marilyn Manson that. Making up or repeating these rumors they had heard from somewhere or someone. All of them just nonsensical. Nothing but gossip. Hearing all of this made me very curious about him. If he was so “evil,” why is he a free man able to make something of himself? It was clear that he was just challenging their beliefs, and it scared them. They had no real response other than being emotional and lashing out to discredit him. He was public enemy #1 during that time. We see that plenty still to this day. When a weak mind has strong beliefs, and they’re challenged, they get so defensive and resort to rage and belittling. For years I’d hear about him. News, people, magazine covers, etc. But at the end of the day, he’s just a guy. How “evil” could he possibly be?
We were never allowed to listen to him. I kept seeing the advertisements for Holy Wood and I wasn’t going to let it go. I had to have it. My brother and I teamed up and sat my parents down and pleaded our case on why we thought we should be allowed to listen to Marilyn Manson. I was 12 and he was 15. We were very convincing. They said yes. So we went to target and bought it. Listened to it on the way home, and my brother and I stayed in the car to finish it. When I got out of the car I felt like a different person. I was already into rock music, but it was heavier and darker than anything I had ever heard. It just spoke to me on a level nothing else ever had. I absorbed every note. Wore it like a skin.
That man’s presence in the world during the 90’s and early 2000’s made me feel normal. Made me feel okay. He challenged me to think and he educated me. His music was, and is to this day, important to me. I also think he was the last real “rockstar.” He was the pinnacle of “shock.” I don’t think any artist will ever come along and have the impact that he did. “Everything has been said before. Nothin’ left to say anymore.”
In my opinion this album is his best work, in every facet and discipline. The imagery, the aesthetic, the meanings/metaphors, the tones/sounds, his vocal performance, etc. Target Audience being my favorite track on it, and probably just my favorite Manson song in general. I don’t believe he’s ever played it live. No videos exist, and I’ve gone through setlist after setlist in the years since this album was released and never found record of him playing it. I wonder why that is.
This video is fantastic. I appreciate the knowledge and appreciation you have for Manson, as well as the time and effort you put into telling the story of Holy Wood. Brilliantly done. You should be very proud.
I don't think he's ever played TA. odd, considering it's Manson's favorite track as well
@@thxlogofan1712 Yeah that sucks. I’m sure he’s got his reasons. But I’d have loved to have heard it when he was touring the album. It wouldn’t be the same now, but I’d still take it. Such a brilliant song.
@@GarrettLoganGriffin hopefully when he's out of all of this, his next tour will be good. he has been getting into shape somewhat recently, but who knows. great song though, I agree
Same
This is a true statement so long as youre not referring to peoples emotional reactions to those affiliated with american government. When bigots take control and enact legislation that negatively effects peoples lives youd bet your a** people are going to have an emotional response.
i saw the length and audibly said "yes!" Don't stop making video essays man, these Marilyn manson ones are fantastic.

Wow! Absolutely amazing video. It’s rare that I can stick with a video over an hour but I just watched this whole damn thing in one sitting and it held my interest the entire time! Super excited to check out your other videos. Thanks for putting this out there.
Wow! Watching this video in one sitting might be a record of some kind so congrats! Haha. Thanks for the encouragement chassidy & I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful analysis. So much of this went over my head as a teen. Cheers
Thanks so much for this. I grew up listening to these albums. And had the physical copies. So I read a lot into the lyrics and liner notes.
I had put a lot of this together myself. But to see it laid out so well, especially your ACSS doc, really connected the dots to what I already subconsciously understood. If that makes sense.
Awesome to hear!
What an absolutely superb video. The level of detail, analysis, editing and effort you put into this is commendable. These are the kind of videos that keep me coming back to UA-cam. I'll never tire of Manson analysis videos, there's always something new to take away and contemplate. Amazing job, thank you for sharing 🖤
You are very welcome. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed the video. More on the way!
Man you're the best, keep working, very high quality content.
Thanks he-man, I'm glad you enjoyed it
Loved hearing this. Coming from his own voice how he created his albums. Thank you for this. Also like the different angles how you explained the way he created the lyrics.
You're welcome , I'm glad you enjoyed it
Dude I've been waiting for you to analyze this album! This was one of my most played albums of last year! Absolutely love it from start to finish.
Yeah this record is top notch! & wait no longer Haha
God i have shivers while lkistening to the songs after your explanation....Thanx very much for your work, i m a bad lyrics reader and i always pay attention to the music....in Mansons case , it's inevitable that you realize he's actually saying something important..but i never checked his lyirics too closely (although i m very interested in his interviews and what he has to say)...so, hearing you explaing them makes me rralize, that the man is actually very close to Genius
Loved your analysis and video. So interesting. You made me aware of things I missed when listening to these masterpieces. I will follow all your videos with great interest. Marilyn Manson is a true genius!
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you found the video helpful!
Hell yea dude thanks for the shout out I've been waiting for this one and can't wait for the wrap up in February these 3 albums have been such a huge part of my life since like the 7th grade in '03 and I can say to this day I learn something new about each album as I get older and a huge part of that is thanks to you, keep doing what you're doing man love it
Thanks a bunch Travis for your continued support. I agree, with the passing of time these albums reveal More and more. The next wrap up video on this topic should be different but fun.
Totally ditto 😊

All three of these videos were so so good. Thank you so much for putting these together, they have been so enjoyable to watch and delve back into these albums. I was watching this one thinking “it’d be great to see a video doing an overview of the entire narrative of the trilogy” and then you announced that’s basically what you have planned. Amazing. I can’t wait for that. And in the meantime I’ll go back and rewatch the previous two. :)

this video is so good! im so happy there are content creators out there analysing this type of content. thank you so much for making this video, it really shows the depth of Manson's psyche. I have to say bro, this is your best video analysis yet! Keep up the amazing work.
Very kind of you to say!
Thank you so, so much for creating these videos! A lot of people don't realize how complicated Manson's trilogy of albums is, and as a new fan, you've helped me better understand their meaning and connection to one another. These videos also show me new footage I have never seen before, which I greatly appreciate. I can't even imagine how long these videos must take to make, so thank you for putting the time in to making them.
Glad you like them!
I appreciate the depth of this review. Good job!
Thanks for watching!
I am a very new Marilyn Manson fan! Just started getting all his music on vinyl. I recently became disabled and everyone including my husband had a favorite artist collection but I did not. I think everyone was shocked and surprised when my request was a Marilyn Manson collection! I love a deep dive into things that peck my interest. I have study and can read tarot cards and have even been to a gnostic mass. I have always had a darkside just like the moon that not everyone knows about. I started studing film on TCM after becoming disabled and that has been a real passion and I now review classic film as well. So when I decided I needed MM in my life it felt perfect for me and I am happy that I found him now and not on the 90's. He has become my guardian angel and I love all of his music but Holy Wood is the best concert I have ever seen in my life and do wish I could been able to go to it but he was just not on my radar at that time. I think I am able to completely understand him is because of my personal life experiences and my knowledge of all the topics that were brought up in your very interesting look at his body of work. I loved watching and finding out even more than I currently understood. It was fascinating and fun to learn the depths of the Trilogy and more. Thanks so much for sharing this information with a fellow Marilyn Manson fan!!!❤🖤❤🖤❤🖤

I think my favorite song on the whole album is Valentine's Day.
I really love the ending chorus on Target Audience too, and well, the whole album, but VD ( *Peter Griffin laugh* ) is my favorite. Oh, Burning Flag is a straight up pump song too.
It's cool learning the details like the Panzram quotes in Nobodies for example. Years ago, like somewhere in the 20 teens, like mid-20 teens, I watched a documentary about Panzram, and that dude first off was a total monster and did some super vile shit, but then again he had some super monstrous violent shit done to him growing up as a child belonging to the state as well.. I remember something like whenever he was incarcerated, the guards couldn't put no one in his cell because he would kill everybody that came in there with him, and the guards were afraid of them because he would even try to hurt and kill them by reaching through the bars for them, but I believe in his final days in prison he became friends somewhat with one of the guards and the guard would bring him stationary to write his thoughts out and stuff.. I'm pretty sure I'm talking about the same guy, otherwise I just sound like an idiot hahaha
I'm not sure if i saw the same documentary, but I saw one on Panzram and i wasn't shocked the dude turned out to be a psycho. Hurt people hurt people
I love you MM❤❤❤❤❤❤
Began with the Mechanical Animals video yesterday, then watched Antichrist Superstar and now this one after waking up. You have created something very special here. It's very well put together and easily comprehendable. Now I will watch your next video on him. :) Cheers!

Well... Seen it all, and love it. Im a huge marilyn manson fan, since the beginning, and seeing your work putting all together, my thoughts are that Manson is a genius, and his ideas keep being relevant in today's society, i mean, its almost like he saw the future because the problem are worse nowadays. The problem now is that they manage to cancel manson for now, with outrageous acusations. But Im really still hoping that somehow i can say someday that "I've been to black and back, I've whited out my name" and bring us another diamond like one of the trilogy. Not probably, but it would be a dam good slap on the face of the haters that are making him already guilty before things are well analysed. Manson for ever motherfuckers.
Fuck yeah been waiting
Just go out of rehab and saw this awesome. Thank you
Glad to be of assistance. Keep up the good fight!
Could you turn on in the UA-cam settings the "transcript" option? Thank you!
Will you do all his albums?
Well not all of his albums are concept records, so it'll be slightly different. But eventually there will be some sort of analysis/video essays for every record.
48:17 oof, well played lol
OMG , as a total and complete fan of Marilyn Manson first four albums in this complete breakdown of the meanings is superbly en lightning. It’s also quite creepy because somehow I got this suggestion and I have been watching a lot of political videos right now mainly Roland Martin. And I just feel like everything Marilyn Manson is saying in his songs is literally what ROLAND Martin is saying on his political views for the last 10 years as well. I just find it super crazy that I used to be so in love with Marilyn Manson as a teenager I had a phase when the Internet first came out. You know back when it was still dial up lol and I would download Marilyn Manson songs, you know back then it took you like 36 hours to download one fucking song lol. But I could only be on the Internet at night time so one summer, I literally didn’t leave the house barely and I was only up until 9 PM to 9 AM so I would not block the phone lines. And I used to dream about Marilyn Manson like every fucking night for a month. I was so in love with him. 😂😂😂
Wow just started this, I have always wanted something like this
Glad to have made it happen for you all
Am I the only one who heard that during the part of Valentines Day the audio was cut out?
Wow! This video is EPIC.
It's honestly mind-blowing the level of knowledge, complexity and detail that went into the making of the Triptych albums. Everytime I watch one of these 'analysis', I find it almost impossible not to feel somewhat stupid next to Manson's intelligence (and the intelligence of the person making said analysis), haha. All that being said, Holy Wood is one of my least favorite MM albums (sorry!). But hear me out. For me it's one of the least relatable. I feel it contains a lot of references that are very USA-cultural-extremely specific, and since I'm not from over there my level of connection with such a topics tends to be mostly superficial.
Edit: ohhh I forgot. Do you have any plans to analyze any of the other Manson albums? It would be awesome. Thanks!
There is no need to feel stupid when listening to manson music or analysis videos. The whole point of their creation is to teach! If you learn something new, you are expanding your perspective. Which is great!
And yes, I've done ACSS, Mechanical Animals, Holywood, and a wrapup video connecting all 3 records so far. More will be coming in the future. Easiest way to stay posted is to subscribe to the channel!

One day I hope I’ll have the chance to tell you about what I’m working on, and how insanely accurate these readings have been for the last several months.
I keep an eye on the comment section, so if you post any info or updates i'll see it.
one question : i came up and saw this video first....since the story seems intended to be read at reverese, does it make sense if i watch the Mechanical animals analysis next, and the Antichrist Superstar one after that, and then go seeing the final wrap up video ....or do i have to start from the first and wtch all the others next ? :D
It works either way. The wrap up will answer a few connecting questions that you may have in terms of how it all meshes
@@TheLaunchPadStudio thank you !
The two best MM albums for me was the ACSS and the HW....
Two classics for sure
What happened to the sound during Valentine’s Day song?
UA-cam muted it or else they would ban the entire video. I let them so it wouldn't be entirely blocked.
Honestly, Holy wood is my favorite album out of the 2 other ones
Hard to argue! Personally, I like the music of anti best, the imagery of mechanical animals best, and the social commentary of holywood the best. All fantastic works of art
I agree with you on that, mechanical animals helped through hard times of feeling alienated cause I’m not a religious Republican while my entire family tree was Republican
Manson revealed in an interview that his intended “flow” of the triptych was Beginning of Holy wood => ACS => more Holy Wood => MA => end of Holy Wood
Can you do portrait of an American family
It will be the next manson themed analysis I do.
❤❤❤
The Big Bang Theory was created by Georges Lemaitre, a Catholic Priest. I've always thought that was weird.
I love you as KISS. ❤
Coma black is his animas
if manson was really pissing off politicians, we would've never heard of him. They were doing him a favor by talking about him.
So Adam is Romeo and Coma is Juliet then too. Coma being from wealth like Juliet and Adam coming from rags like Romeo. Pretty good stuff. It was a great listen btw
That's an interesting parallel. I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
@@TheLaunchPadStudio I'm glad you made it! I knew some of that stuff but not nearly that much of a dive. Can't wait to listen to the other ones you have up!
i've finally finished watching this extensive video ( 03 hours 47 minutes requred several days to watch it )...but i'd say ,this docu should be watched in schools ,so that the kids of today can understand the whole thing, and maybe open their eyes ,before their naive time is over, and they are already sucked into the machine of illusion ....... Michael Moore's Wprds about the factory just a couple miles away say it all..... we want to blame the unknown for all the bad things in the World, only not to aknowledge what we already know as the real cause of it...and take action against it..... so we just pray.....
My next door neighbour was a music press. Interviews with him.Adam or Brian Manson. He is a good guy. Almost every song he mentions God. Satin is his confusions. Everything he sings he says God. To be bad you need to pray. Maybe his songs are a prayer. I remember the old show the Younger Years USA. He was a bit different but he has a good heart. He collects Little lunch boxes and crusafixses. See he's singing about God.
Damien fucking Echols, I'm flabbergasted right now lol
You should do more Heavy metal or death metal bands 🖤
I totally have videos on more artists coming soon
I don’t know if you know this or not but on 2:17:39, there’s also a video of the Autopsy where his brain gets removed, it’s not just those photos. I’ll leave the link for the Autopsy video just in case you didn’t know about it, or for anyone who reads this comment that would be interested in watching it. BTW your breakdown of the three albums are some of the best videos i ever came across on youtube. ua-cam.com/video/3mS8rJH0ZQ8/v-deo.html
I forgot about it, so thanks for bringing it up! Also, I appreciate you giving kudos to the video
when can we expect the triptych overview?
I'm Almost finished with it. Very soon it will premiere
At the song Crucifiction in Space you didn't explained what the lyrics
"If Christ was in Texas
The hammer, the sickle, the only son" mean? Is it a reference of a cult in Texas that combines communism and religion or an aglutination of Jesus Christ, Kennedy amd John Lennon in one sentence, sice Lennon was suspected of being a communist sympathiser and a traitor during the cold war. Also this album seem to have the instrumental much more a darker and melancolic combine vine than Antichrist Superstar.
Hammer and sickle are symbols of communism, jfk being killed in Texas and in the context of the holywood record being a messiah/christ like figure plays on multiple metaphors. Some you already mentioned
Need a reupload where the audio doesn't keep cutting out
The uncut edition is on rumble. UA-cam decided to censor parts of this video. It wasn't my call/fault haha
I was in las vegas city jail for 3 months and nobody knew my real name....instead my name was Manson because i guess they thought i resembled marilyn manson....which i never liked much musically but respect his questioning of the world and humanity.
HELL YEAH!!!
