Some of you might already be familiar with record fairs, or record expos, or whatever yearly events you attend for used metal records. Let me know about the ones you go to, how you feel about them, and any cool finds. Also, anything else relevant can go in the comments below.
Fantastic purchase on the Gary Numan record. He was always way ahead of the curve, literally telling everyone with Replicas the 1970s are finished, get over yourselves with your Zeppelins, Zappas, Bowies, Stones, and Foghats. An inspiration to a phenomenal amount of Metal and Darkwave composers. Brilliant. As always thank you for another wonderful video Mister Paradise.
This was a fun video, and educational too; now I know the origin story for the speed metal swirl (Side note: if I ever get the desire to finally get a tattoo, it would be that symbol.) REPLICAS is a fantastic album. I wouldn’t mind having that and THE PLEASURE PRINCIPLE on vinyl. I got that same AC/DC LP recently. I didn’t have to buy it at that moment, but it was one of the first AC/DC albums I listened to after seeing MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE. So, yeah, there are memories attached to that album.
Some nice finds at the fair! Ostrogoth is pretty rare to see. Nice Priest single and classic Raven EP. Only one I have had actually. Love Lizzy Borden too. They were underrated. Banzai was my lifeline in small town Canada growing up. I think I had that comp on tape.
Dalbello is not a band but Canadian female rock vocalist Lisa Dal Bello - later shortened to Dalbello. Initially more a chanteuse, her later stuff in the mid-late 80s is harder and darker. Gonna Get Close is the opening track from 1984 album "Whomanfoursays" From Discogs, "Her songs have been recorded by the likes of Heart, Julie Masse and Queensrÿche, who had a huge hit with their version of her masterpiece 'Gonna Get Close To You'."

I love record fairs
Sweet record fair haul mate 🤘don’t see the Banzai comp around, great find 🤘🤘
Great haul! Wish Wendy was still alive, never got to see her live.
Great haul! That Banzai comp is sick!
I vaguely remember seeing Plasmatics and Adam Ant at the former EM Lowe's theater in Woostah. 1980-something 😆
The Scorpions. One of my all time favorite.
Hey Matt. Great video and record haul! Nice snags on the Plasmatics. And scoring that Ostrogoth album!!! Cheers

Accept ! First concert ever. Accept/Def Leppard/Judas Priest in 1981. Rage For Order is perfection. So is In Trance. Excellent score. Love Raven too.

I love that AC/DC album. I also can’t believe you found a clean copy of Breaker out in the wild. I just need to break down and get it on Discogs.
You gotta get "The Plan" by Tubeway Army. KILLER guitar tone. UK only release though so rare over here.
Did you ever see the 80s movie Hot Moves? It had Raven on the soundtrack.
No, but now I need to!
