I drove out to rep fitness yesterday(. Carlisle pennsylvania) to get a couple of things. Looking at their benches online or UA-cam Doesn't do them, Justice. to look at them up close and personal. They are fantastic pieces of equipment. My house is 45 minutes away from rep. Fitness and forty-five minutes away from york Barbell. I love going to both.
@NoFate247 the fb 5000 and the ab 5100 are prettysweet. . At home, I have the York fts flat bench. So I bought the fb 3000 bench pad and installed it on my York bench. When I get over 350 on the bench, I prefer the 12" pad. Yorks pads are too narrow.
I have a Rep 5000 clear coat. I have FB rep benches. There is no need to upgrade to clear coat. BTW can you find out what gives with Hansu ? I am waiting for them to make some of their older style calibrated plates. It has been months since they have been available. Thanks, John

Yes please! I’ve been looking between this and the fray fitness savage series power rack functional trainer. Biggest advantage to the fray fitness is the 1:1 pull with 250lb stacks on each side. Currently $2k before shipping on sale
Even though I do have Rogue stuff, I have always kinda viewed them as the evil empire. People have been making racks and plates forever, (long before Rogue showed up) and there isn't really that of a much variation you can do to those. I could see if it were a unique piece of equipment like a bench or Pritchett Pad, sure! Then, they have a good case. They may however have a good case on the copyright to their assembly instructions

Something about a weight trainer's mug that actually looks like a weight trainer's mug. Might be something there for a small company to do - use actual weight training parts to make a mug. Maybe weight trainers would get a kick out of that.
I just want a fun weight training mug ... under say, about $70. For the handle, a company could chop up blemished barbells, and you get whatever part of the barbell, you'd never know till it arrived. It'd seem that'd be kinda of cool to do.
@NoFate247 definitely don't know the reason why they don't carry that color for any of their equipments. Happy Titan and Rogue at least have that option on some of their racks

I went with clear coat on the cross members of my Rep rack due to you praising it. (despite the extra cost) and honestly they look cool as hell. dunno about the bench, but if you're on the fence, it really is a cool look.

The lawsuit leaves the door open, cause they mention an issue of copying in general, siting a few cases (even installation instructions). So I'm sure Rogue could add onto the suit or file another suit for thier hydra/mantara if they wanted to spend the money. You think rogue will win?
Did the FB-5000 get a price reduction? I don’t see much of a price drop. Like a dummy i sold my FB-5000 with wide pad for a Blackwing. Although I like the Blackwing i want another FB-5000
@@NoFate247 ahh I see. I bought the Red Blackwing with 10% discount off during holidays to match my red PR-5000 rack. I sold my flat black FB-5000 with wide pad to a family member for $100. Now I want a red one lol the FB-5000 is just way better for flat bench for obvious reasons.
The clear coat looks awesome, I’m a Raiders fan so it fits the look. But I passed on clear coat because I had fears of it rusting faster and it being more expensive.
I can't imagine anything being rust resistant except galvanized and stainless. Apparently REP used to have stainless uprights. My powder coating flakes off on my PR400 at all the attachment points. Customer service sent me a vile of nail polish (touch up paint) and a $25 credit. Clear coat is probably less noticeable if the coating rubs off.
@@NoFate247 The thought of redoing/rebuilding my rack is not something I'd really like to do on my dual athena with lat pulldown/lowrow. The rust is noticeable close up. It appears like spider vein cracks starting from the peg holes, numbers, and lettering on my pr5000. Looks like the rust is originating from the inside of the cutouts. I'll reach out to customer service and see if they can offer any suggestions.

I think a great video idea would be a gym tour of yours, but with an emphasis on a cost breakdown “is the juice worth the squeeze” kind of thing.

Move it to Kansas City. It's it the middle of the country and there's tons of convention space. Plus I live there and wouldn't have to travel.
