Fischia il vento, is an Italian Partizans song written about the struggle of the partizans during WW2. The song uses the same melody as the popular Soviet song Katyusha. This version was performed by the Modena City Ramblers.

Which musical instrument are they playing on the start of the song?

They are playing an acoustic guitar in the beginning and throughout the song. I actually played a similar version of this song on guitar in an earlier video of mine. I also made guitar tabs for it too.

Yes I know that the lyrics are different from the original Russian song. Fischia il vento still uses the same melody as Katyusha that's why i added it to the description.
