Hi 👋 Greetings from New Zealand. I loved the TV show in the 1960s too. It was a corny show , but I would race into the lounge and get the family tv switched on and tune into the program. I like their song I'm not your Stepping Stone.
great ro see you show your monkees collection, some great albums, one of my favourite bands, 17 vinyl albums and some solo, 20 plus singles and solo and over 60 cds loads of solo albums, dvds books and comics, and counting, but havent got instant replay or justus on vinyl, have them on cd great albums, cheers robert
Great video, Robert. Thanks for the shout out. The Monkees rule. Pisces is such a killer album. I love the song, Daily Nightly. I need to get Justus on vinyl!
They really wanted to play their own songs on the show, but the producer would not allow it. They wanted to get a heavier psych sound, and this wasn't permitted ever on the show. It's a shame that they were restricted by their contact. Mike Nesmith actually wanted country/ folk / soft rock sound. Thanks for sharing guys.
The Mike and Micky album is very good, was so fortunate to have seen that tour just a couple of months before Mike passed. Friday Music is a label that I don't really get behind, they have some questionable ways behind their mastering. At any rate, glad to see you showing the Monkees some love!
You probably wouldn't notice it unless you had the other records. I think the mastering is a needle drop instead of from digital or original tapes. The cover art is also a photo from the internet, instead of the original.
Hi Robert!!! cool video as always..... but must confess i have never seeing any episode of The Monkees tv show, I don't think any TV channel has shown it. Later i realize what was all about, they seems to be a fun bandto listen, but must confess i rather prefer listen to them when it's used as incidental music on a film.... cheers and be well

Justus was a nice find. Always shout you out when I can, my friend.
I don't have any records but I used to watch the show a lot when I was a kid (reruns in the late 70s/early 80s). Great stuff!
We’ve all heard the hits, but Their deep cuts are where they shine!!
Thank you always
Refocus is a great comp , i remember buying it when it came out 🙂

Headquarters is a good Monkees album their best one they ever made.
