30 years raising calves,,, I used an old wringer washing machine to mix a concentrated mix of milk. Then used the pump on the machine to pump into trailer tank,, added the extra water to right mixing rates. Made life soo much easier 🙂
Hi I just started working on a dairy farm last year in August and do milking and learning to become a calve rearer I just looking 4 course's about calve rearing so me and my daughter could learn more. Close to 8hundred calves we doing. And seen your videos love it.
I've been looking forward to this video! Thank you. Great video. And you got some Speckle Park too? I rear some of them here in Ireland, and I have kept some heifers to use as suckler cows. I love them. Good luck with them yourself! :D
Another great informative video. A couple of questions, for the mulligans milk powder, you said you do 4l per day, how much powder is that per cow? And what do you use to weigh them (sorry maybe a stupid question, I'm a complete novice 🤔)
Hey not a stupid question at all. Different milkpowders have different mix rates. You can see the rates on the back of the bags. I use a scale to work out how many kgs I need of powder. You can use any type of scale.
