Feels like we’re witnessing the progression of sport climbing! The complexity of the rope management, the crack glove, the technical knee bars, the brutality of the boulder problem and finish. The vision of the line. And you know it’s desperate when Seb has the 1st bolt clipped! He is very pure about this and usually never does, but it would be a bad fall on this thing w/out it. Seb - your class is shining bright! Inspiring stuff.
Great movie! I must say I prefer when Seb speaks in French though, his love and passion for climbing is evident then. Part of the video are already subtitled, don't think people would mind reading 5 min more if it means having a more genuine interview.
That's true. When you speak in a foreign language, feelings are difficult to transmit. We can read subtitles! Athletes, speak your native language ! Vive la diversité !

The American mind cannot comprehend doing that much gear switching on a sport route. I was totally confused for a full minute. The two ropes are the same color and I was SWEATING until I figured that out.
it's actually the same rope. He pull the rope down to the belayer so she can reattach her belay device without the first part of the climb rope drag. You can see she was pulling the rope from the first part of the route and you also can see at 10:48 that the rope goes back up to the first part of the route
Oui mais d'une part c'est sympa d'entendre une langue étrangère, d'autre part les émotions et explications sont appauvries quand on ne parle pas sa langue.

Man I love Seb as much as I love our dear Adam... He is such a pure person for climbing.

I personally thought bringing out a crack glove for one jamming move was a bit excessive..
Seemed like a lot of nonsense to me.
Complexity of rope management?? xD This is used in so many climbs... it's nothin new nor complex..

The route : "Sorry Seb, you have nothing to kneebar on here !"
Seb : "I don't care, I'll just kneebar my own arm"
Seb is such a legend. Quietly putting up the hardest and most beautiful routes in the world.
Seb still sleeper GOAT. Yet another beautiful area I've never heard of with more king lines. lfg!
Guess I'd have named this route: "Logistical nightmare"
after changing my rope, my glove, unclipping i find another kneebar and change one shoe.
When he rammed that mono in without hesitation on the flash!
wouah comment il enchaine le seb, incroyable, un 9a+/9b suivi d'un 8c+ flash, très solide
increddddible edit, climber, music, video quality. unreal. thank you
Amazing video and endurance from Seb. wow routes look incredible, really inspiring
Absolutely awesome performance! Seb is amazing in these long endurance routes.
I am a simple man, I see a thumbnail with Seb Bouin, I click

loved watching seb try hard on that flash
Why only USA grades for a climb in France??
Eagle screaches 🦅 🇺🇸
Bro read the name of the video
Surtout avec un anglais comme ça ! Ça sent le bon frenchie
maybe because black diamond made the video ??
French or Yosemite number too big for you to worry about climbing it anyway ;)
Totally insane.
The level of fitness to do what he does is absolutely ridiculous
Really dislike how Clarisse (his gf? only finally revealed her name at the end) is (isn’t) portrayed.
That first route looks pretty straightforward...

That Petzl dogbone he clips at 17:10 is at least 15 years old, and probably older.

Why do you have so much rope out on the knee bar rest?
If you fell from there, wouldn’t you hit the deck?
He is clipped in on the green rope as well 😇 As he explained, he let the pink one down from there to skip the first part so he has less rope drag

Fair point, I guess the two types of grades should have been put as the Yosemite grades are only for Americans.
