Brief hiatus while i was on vacation, time to catch up on my favorite podcast 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆
This was such a fun episode
At this point were playing house money in recruiting crushing it!!! Love to see DJ Pickett next week!!
Dan and GA defenses are based on stopping intermediate passing plays, which suggests he thinks that they are the most dangerous parts of an offense
Mahel was recruited as safety, probably his better position but Chip moved him
Go Ducks!!!
Go Ducks!
Watching a few shows behind but Michigan’s defense on the EA game is disgusting. Very annoying to play against. Appreciate the response to the question though! The IG Live response took a little long 😂 but I also love the old fashioned hats choice.
The Dakorien bit isn’t true. Moore said he knew where he wanted to go a week before he announced his commitment date. “Experts” just assumed Texas cuz that where he’s from.
You do a great job. Knowledgeable and personable. Big fan keep up good work
What you said about 10-2, and 9-3 teams possibly getting into the postseason… Shows that the regular season is better now… Since more games will actually matter. And the top teams… And top matchups will matter even more since they are going for, a bye in the first round…
Having conferences that play eight conference games, and others that play nine conference games already stacks the deck. And when one conference is way easier than another, Sl that also stacks the deck for the regular season.
It literally just expanded the importance of the regular season into more teams…and into the month of November and December. And now that the deck is not being stacked in the regular season to manipulate the postseason where only a few teams… Recruiting will spread out to dozens of teams, and we will see multiple national title winners from the number five seed, to the number 10 seed.
They just fixed the 3 or 4 problems that stacked the deck, so only a few teams could win.
It’s amazing!
More teams can make the Playoff, but the teams that actually MATTER in the Playoff (top 4-6) can now lose several times a year and it doesn't matter like it used to
10-2 SEC is a lock for CFP now, before you were locked out. Dramatic shift that I do not care for even tho it benefits Oregon
Talent spreading out has everything to do with the portal and very little to do with the 12-team
If there was ever a game for Gabriel to show if his wheels, its Michigan due to their DL
Alai is comped as JPJ
A lot of times Crystalballs are made way early, and do not reflect current situations
The issues with this 2024 season, how good is the quarterback play , and how good are the game time coaching decisions?
Gabriel is the Heisman favorite right now...so Vegas thinks QB will be no issue
I think we got spoiled with Bo Nix’s efficiency. I think we might be more susceptible to trap games, not because of how much better the other team is, but the turnover bug which DG is rumored to have every once in a while
Bo was insanely good. DG was just under 70% completion last year, if he does that again we won't feel too much of a dropoff
Good thought but I think it would be highly questionable for him to take a two year break and come in and start right away by then they probably got someone else who has been in the system for a year or two
MAILBAG: Perhaps a good question for Brian or Max.. After hearing the scouting report for Alai, I got to thinking; how much does a player taking a two year mission affect the rating they receive from scouts and publications?
Not a fan of the Mormon missions so much changes in two years. When does NIL take effect, when they sign or
when they start playing? Also who holds these players accountable for staying in shape?
If you believe in the notion of more access to anything (fill in the blank) is a good thing, then you'll embrace the 12 team PO
Oregon on Thursday is at #4
Crystal balls are rough going in the NIL era, and then really nobody should count on that player until they are on campus and in the pads.
Brian has talked about that, it is tougher nowadays for a variety of factors
What you said comparing the 10-2 Big10, vs the 10-2 big12, vs a 9-3 SEC…
The only reason we never viewed elite one loss, and two loss teams as elite after the regular season was because they never got a chance in the bcs, or in a playoff before. But now we will start seeing the 5-10 seeds winning national titles, just like the 3 and 4 seeds did after they expanded it from the BCS.
All this is going to do is shift the minds of people that say an 8 seed can’t win a national title, after they beat #1 seed UGA in the sugar bowl. And even if the 8 seed doesn’t win it all, they just knocked out the #1 seed so someone else could win it.
Finally, the regular season that keeps teams away from each other, finally gives us the postseason matchups we will never get in the split up regular season, due to conferences being afraid to play in the first 12gms.
Now we’ll get more magical moments like Boise state beating OSU…but they’ll mean more…
In which year was a team outside the top 4 capable of winning the natty?
2023 Georgia is the only one I know of.
If Dan is who we think he is amongst this fan base….you know perfect. Then the only game they should lose is Ohio State with this roster. And honestly with the way the schedule is set up they could go undefeated.
If Oregon goes 10-2 they’ll be in the 12 teamer. Same with most SEC teams. They’ll be 3-4 teams from each of those conferences. When was the last time Oregon wouldn’t have made the 12 team?
I think 12-0 is entirely in the cards.
Oregon would not have made the 12-team Playoff in 2022, 9-3 in P12 was not gonna do it
@@LockedOnOregonDucks maybe not in the PAC, but in the BIG I think they certainly could.
Georgia couldn’t come to Autzen and beat Oregon. They struggle on the road vs. Missouri and other middle SEC schools.
Blame your brother for the bug.
Ha, I have nobody to blame but central Oregon's bug population and an open door somewhere
If the Pickett finalists are truly ducks and canes, then this recruitment has to be somewhat personal for Dan and uncle Phil. There is no coach duck fans want to beat more in recruiting than Mario
