- When you think of the Great Lakes, you may not picture towering 30-foot waves. But Dave Sandford knows better. The professional photographer from Ontario, Canada, braves the icy cold water and fierce winds of Lake Erie to make his masterpieces. And they will absolutely astound you.

His photos are seriously incredible!
Truly stunning! He captures the spirit of Lake Erie
"That's amazing" is an understatement, the video and stills are truly awesome.
Thanks for the video. I live in London, Ontario and have seen Lake Erie hundreds of times but have never seen it as powerful as this!! Incredible.
I lived very near Lake Erie in PA for many years. Great photos of an imposing natural love of ours.
Absolutely stunning.
What about the credits? Can we get the name of the musics used? And his website too!
Great job nonetheless!
BeastModeIII it’s in the description unless you meant you want them in the vid.
Essix i can't find it. is it “that's amazing”?
theres nothing in the description that beast wanted to know...
I live 5 minutes from the lake! I have a bigger love for it.
What if you just took a close up of a small wave?
I like how you think.
I remember seeing on history channel ships sinking due to methane gas in the great lakes. Reducing buoyancy along with freakish winds wreaks many a ship. Good work photographing liquid montanas as Spanish would say it.☺
Spot on
Your photos are amazing
Awesome!!
TRULY AMAZING CAPTURES!
This is beautiful.
this gives me an idea....shake two bottles of coke, aim them at each other and open em up.....take photos of the clash...I wonder what it would look like
Gonna try that when quarantines over and I can get access to my film camp cameras again
Thx for the idea
@@ironbeagle1610 haha if you do, please let me know so I can see it
@@rohanjgeorge may be difficult to pull off, and whether I do it or not is definitely a big maybe, but ill leave you a link in a reply if I do :)

Amazing, video!
breath taking
Freeken Awesome!!!
I’ve kayaked over waves that are 7 or 8 foot tall on the great lakes, they are huge sometimes
Wow !! Thank you :) I didn't know lakes had Waves !!
because it's huge and there are wind.
I miss my HOMES lakes. Great job!!
Good job Mate
Alright I did not expect this to be a video placed in my hometown.
maybe out in the middle of the lake they can get 30 ft but if they were that big so close to shore i doubt he would be in the water filming it, when Lake Superior gets huge waves like that you couldn't even be in the water like he is.
why does this not have more views. it's well executed and we'll produced
I love nature photos theya re so natural interesting and cool
I was born in Sandusky, Ohio on Lake Erie. Thank you.
that is so cool
I'm so happy I get to see the great lakes so often. I drive right by Superior every day on my way to work.
Logan Schierkolk I live pretty close to were this was filmed... I also have literally lived on the lake for two years on my boats
i live in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and here there is one the most beautiful lakes and beach of the world but even i living at 10 minutes for the beach it is unlikely that i see the sea. It's a shame for me.
Luciano Parente make it a point to drive to it then 😉
It’s vary good for you 🤙🏼
sure i'll
Where’s the link to his website? Put it in the description!
水が暴れると怖いがじっと見ていると胸に来るものがある。
I am moving to Canada! It's the best Country to live in and I better visit this :)

Can you give us the link to where he posts his photos? Thanks.
Lol Lord its on instagram, davesanford
It said that this was in London Ontario....but I'm in London Ontario and we are not on Lake Erie lol.
It looks more like Port Stanley to me.
Who wants to start spread this channel around
wow!! too cool =)
Yep he’s a griffindor 😁
SUBBED :D
London, Ontario?
Hotsystem52 yeah
It's a city in Southern Ontario about a two hours southwest of Toronto that was (obviously) named after London, England.
To me the image of tides resembles the outer space images.
I live a half hour from there
Wavemaster flex
Lake Eerie is E E R I E
30 foot waves???? I mean the photos themselves look like it or bigger but I would have to see that in person to believe they were really 30 feet
i know him!! he’s my moms best friends brother!!
I live in Ohio the waves are never as bad as he says they are. If you go there in mid fall it will be cold and there will be waves, But he is describing the waves to be so powerful is not true, but sometimes you will get good pictures of the waves but the only challenge going out there is the cold. Douche surfer, But Great Big Story keep up the good work.
Nikolas Dillard I've lived on the lake in Ohio... sometimes the waves 🌊 are as bad as they say...
But it's cold asf
wears swim shorts over his wetsuit?
That hair...
Very Dave-ish.
I created a little bomb with one gram of uranium
They call it a "Widowmaker"
Insert overwatch joke here
@I HATE TOUCANS no fuck u, at least sweet bread has a damn imagination
"She eh?"
Me: WHEN DID OBJECTS HAD GENDERS
Ever heard the phrase, "Mother Nature"? Just a saying, of course not literal
I think this guy is making the water seem more dangerous then they actually are. The waves when he was walking were 1-2 feet. If you have ever been in the ocean it is way more dangerous.
