In this version, the duck smiles innocently and moves, and appears more naive and childish, which isn’t solely based off of the duck’s expressionless look but more how the duck acts.

For a video that was made in MS Paint, they really put a a lot of heart and soul to bring back the Duck Song to the real world. It's better than the live-action remakes of Disney movies.

Okay but the VFX here are actually nuts, man. The quality is insane. The little movements from the duck, small little details like the feathers ruffling. Just impeccable work, man.

The attention to detail to make it as close to the original is amazing - between the text on the stand, the clothes, the placement of the trees in the background, the jug and cup, all just amazing.
I have to give huge praise for the effects of that duck. The reflections in the eyes, the lighting and shading on its body, the very damn good physics of its plumage, and the excellently expressive and bouncy animation that manages to be subtle and not overdone. This is a damn good example of high quality CGI work.

Something I just realised is that the Duck is technically a baby duck, since it still has all it's down feathers. Anyone who's ever babysat (or even worked with kids really) can tell you the absolutely goofy stuff kids ask you for. I love that tiny detail

Yes, the duck is adorable, but unfortunately my two-year old nephew didn't think so. I tried to show him this version of the video, but he wanted the animated version. He didn't like the look of duck in this. At least he didn't cry.

This really shows how far CGI has developed when you consider that at the time of the original video, people would have been confused as to whether that human was real or not.
In addition to what everyone else has said about how phenomenal the animation, cgi, and attention to detail in the original all are, I really appreciate the little head tilts the duck does that seem almost like the natural way birds move their heads. I'm also in love with how you can see the eyes look around.
The Duck Song was the first UA-cam videos I would consider myself a "fan" of so seeing the orbital channel upload this video 10+ years later is not only surreal, it is also extremely nostalgic. I love it.

In addition to what everyone else has said about how phenomenal the animation, cgi, and attention to detail in the original all are, I really appreciate the little head tilts the duck does that seem almost like the natural way birds move their heads. I'm also in love with how you can see the eyes look around.
