a detail i personally love is that the sleeping areas of both Girros & Odogaron are effluvia free, implying that even with a filter they still need "fresh" air to survive, it's a detail have heard no one talk about even other monsters like Acidic Glavenus & Val Hazak sleep in effluvia free zones
@@JanusHoW does seem odd, but then again its nest is right next to the recess, so maybe the gas is naturally thinner there due to the heat, but Vaal wouldn't mind due to being so close to a bio energy rich area, only leaving to build up more affluvia and harvest from infected monsters
I just want to say,I just saw the first episode of Prehistoric Planet and cried tears of joy. Going to UA-cam and seeing another amazing docuseries is an otherworldly experience.
I love the detail about the difference between the jagras and the girros. One is working together for the sake of their singular survival while the other is working together for everyones survival
The production quality is insane on these documentaries. I love the additional behaviours, explanations and info pages. Thank you once again, mr. ocean man. IMadeItTheFuckUp/10
It's always worth the wait for these vids. They're peak monster hunter ecology content. All the other ones either lack footage and just have a still image but go in depth, or they have good editing/footage but they don't go that deep into the life of the animals. But yours has both great editing/footage and you go deep into how the monsters live. Can't express how much I like this series you've made so far 😭
This series makes me want to go to this world even more. Both as a researcher to write down notes(because I can't draw crap to save my life) and as a hunter to become more powerful.
One of my favorite episodes of your Monster Hunter nature documentary series. I don't know if this was intentional on your previous episodes or not, but the "David Attenborough' impression you do never hooked me in. Again, maybe that's how I see it, whether it was your intent in doing so. Love your natural voice in narrating the ecology of the world. Also, if I'm throwing suggestions into the wild, I would love to see a historical documentary angle in a series like Naruto, Attack on Titan or JJK, if there is enough material to warrant it as such.
Yeah funny story actually, I was planning to keep the impression up here too but was literally too sick to manage so I just went with my normal voice. Think i'll continue on like this, the voice gimmick has run its course id say. Thanks for watching!
Absolutely magnificent work. Beautiful, well written, brilliantly constructed and overall total shock. Your previous works were already stunning, but this is just on another level. I hope you continue to do this, and I’m quite sad that I can’t financially support such genius creator. Thank you so much for this amazing content
fun fact, if you feed the great jagras raw meat, he will drop body parts. this even works in the grinding lands as well.. in the rotten vale part in the grinding lands you will see zorah's skull.
Love seeing Monster Hunter come back! Hope you keep going on to other MH ecosystems once you finish world, even if it is more speculation that you have to for world
Absolutely loving this series! Great work! I had never played a monster hunter game, but your videos encouraged me to give it a try and I love the series!
Yessss Ive been waiting for this! Wondered how I missed it til I realized I hadn't subscribed yet. Done! Thank you for this extremely unique and painstaking commitment for us hunters with an interest in ecology and world building.
Man I love this series, a nature documentary on one of my favorite game series. been a fan since the first, and will be for a long time. Love this channel and love your work.
This is probably my favourite type of content you make. I'll admit I know basically nothing when it comes to ecology. So getting to learn about how different species evolve to compete & survive their natural habitats is fascinating. Even if the setting & creatures in question are fictional.
My fellow hunters didn't understand back in the day, when i said that the rotten vale is my favourite area of the new world. If someone asks me ever again, i can show them this video. Thank you for that.
Thank you for continuing to upload Monster Hunter content explained in a biological and analytical manor! Love all of these videos of yours and can't wait to see more!
I'm so glad to see you continue this series I can wait to see you talk about the recess and the reach, Also im wondering are you gonna the guiding lands and the caverns of elderado? I think both of those would be cool to cover
I hope to see more videos like this. This is the first of this series i've seen so far, and hope that these are doing well enough to justify more MHW videos.
Okay, So I did my research and and I conclude that the skull leading to Vaal hazaks den isn't a dalamdur. I theorized that the skull there is actually a Laviente skull, mainly because Dalamdur has a more Serpentine frame and head, while a Laviente has a mor traditional dragon like head.
Thank you for making this video, I was always fascinated by the world of Monster Hunter ever since I was a kid. Tho no fortune to continue following the game, this video make my closer tapped with Monster Hunter
I think the only thing I wish you had talked about is Odogaron being the only non-elder dragon to have a turf war with an elder dragon. It's interesting and makes me think of it kinda like a wolverine or badger due to the fact they'll take on much larger opponents such as bear or lions rather than give up their food.
fun fact on my play through i beat vaalhaazak solo and xenojiva solo as well xeno was actually kind of easy big hitter but slow clunky attacks leaving lots of openings pro tip use a great sword or other weapon with blocking capabilities for vaal great sword works best and stay on its sides not front nor rear use its beam and suck attack to deal heavy damage just be carefull because later in the fight doing this will knock it ou of the attack and it will agro you hope this helps :)
The iceborne expansion did a lot of good but one thing it really kind of fucked with was the ecosystem and its believably realsotic monsters In each zone. They made too many monsters invader monsters. Even before like Jho. Bazelguise got completely over shadowed and that should never happen when introducing a new monster. Same with odogaran as the apex. Soon as iceborne came out he was ignored in favor of old favorites Tigrex and the Acidic Glavenous. Even the the Ebony Odogaran didnt hold a candle to those two :/ and that's just the Rotten Vale
The idea that the acidic glavenus never scavenges is so fucking wacky to me, where is our dedicated glavenus researcher and why arent they doing their job.
Videos like this make me both love, and hate MH World. I love it because it made the ecosystems alive, and hate it because it fell into the same hole as other monster hunter games. It started strong breaking off from just being a hunter to being apart of a research team meant to take note of the life and ecosystems, and Solidied that with the kulve taroth fight where you just drive her off, then right after fell into the hole destroying there own narrative they made about how they are not there to just mindlessly kill everything kulve taroth had to be research since they assumed she was the last of her kind, and then gave you a mission to kill her which as I said Narratively made no sense "To me" since why kill the last of its kind if your researchers. Get less research from a dead creature then a living one.

Huh. It would make sense for the first three to do that, but why Val Hazak? It has a symbiotic relationship with the effluvium, for Pete's sake!

MH Documentaries from Oceaniz is really perfect during a rainy day. I find these videos to be extremely relaxing to listen to
Glad to see more of these, hyped for Elder's Recess and the rest

It’s honestly a shame these aren’t as popular, they’re so good! Keep it up, these are fantastic

it's insane that the rotten vale is the reason why the the coral highlands exist i mean just look at them
Hope we get to see one focusing on stuff like apexes, or invaders, or endemic life
Yes brother I needed this
Odogaron is DEFINITELY an Apex. He draws with acidic Glavenus, Tigrex, Legiana and Nargacuga!
I love this please make more!😁😁😁

HR: total pushover.
MR Val Hazak: nightmare fuel.
Odogaron is such a fun fight

The ''HOW DOSE ANYTHING LIVE HERE?'' zone.
Really curios about the answer.
Love that the Girros are the complete opposite of the Jagras
Radobaan is so cool
Val Hazak’s jaw is inspired by a moray eel.
Well this should be fun.
Up next are elder's recess hoarfrost reach and guiding lands
Commenting this for the algorithm :)
wonder if somethings living dead stomach creating more acid and replace the wall of stomach with something materials they create?
Apex was Apex until I broke its arms and found out to dodge to the left slightly.
Why didn't you talk about the blackvail val'hazak?
already covered in the ancient forest episode
Because it doesnt live in the vale
What came first, the coral Highlands or the rotten veil?

Rotten Vale, basically the Bug Pit from Skull Island but way less terrifying.
In some cases, it’s even worse.
Wait there is no Ebony Odagaron and Brute Tigrex?
Great girros is probably my favorite monster in world, me and him are bros
I like this
Once you finish world, any chance of videos like this for areas in other Monster Hunter games, like Rise?

Um Odogaron is an apex of the Vale.
Not anymore!

@@weegeeclaus695 Yeah. Plus I imagine that dealing with the thing would be difficult due to its speed alone.
So when odagoron eats muscle it goes into gear 2 like luffy.

The idea that the acidic glavenus never scavenges is so fucking wacky to me, where is our dedicated glavenus researcher and why arent they doing their job.
