2 Unique DIYS using Dollar Tree Pic Frame - Glam Decor - Wall Sconce - Flower Vase / Candle Holder

- Hey Creative fam today I have 2 simple home decor diys using picture frames from Dollar Tree. These Dollar Tree projects are really easy and very unique. One is a wall decor / sconce. You can easily make a set to enhance a centerpiece on your wall or even add a light behind it and make a wall light. The other one is a flower vase or it can be used as a candle holder. You can make this in any size of course. These ideas are to inspire you to change it up any way you want. I created both projects for $6 plus the gems and (bling) mosaic mirrors I used.

Hey Creative Fam, I know the audio glitches or cuts off a lot of my sentences. I apologize for that. I processed it 5 or 6 times and it's still acting up. I'm gonna try to figure out why it's doing that.
I get tons of questions every week about the Dollar Tree gems so I shared a little snippet in this video about the Dollar Tree gems and Amazon gems. I recently purchased my first order of the acrylic gems from Amazon & I'm hooked. You get a pound and 1/2 of gems for $10 so needless to say when I do run completely out of my DT gems I'll be using the ones from Amazon. It comes out to be $1.90 difference. I am convinced that you have that "Bionic" eye and can go into a high end celebrity picked store, quickly glance at a chandelier cost 30 thou. Simulate a better version DIY for 50 dollars. LOL I know!! Me too! As I'm doing one project I discover 2 more. I went on the hunt today. These specific frames are my fav to work with. I'll have to share this in a video but the other ones are too skinny on the side or they're too skinny in the front to make something really pop or outline a design. I go to DT today and guess what? They had 3 only 3 frames in this style. That didn't didn't stop me from going to the next town. ;) LOL. Thank you so much. I'm glad you love the wall sconce. Hey Lynne, I plan on making a more depth detail about gems so I can show the chandelier gems Glass vs acrylic and some other popular items. I'm always afraid if I order gems I'll get some that are cloudy or scratched really bad. I've had those before.

I agree sometimes it's just too much when a little goes a long way and enhances the creation without over doing it. I've gotta credit that balance to you. I pay closer attention to that nowadays.
I couldn't get over these gems! I'm excited to start using them. I was nervous they'd be cloudy or hazy. Others have talked about ordering them and the gems having a plastic nub or tab sticking up. The gems are flawless, the ones from the Dollar Trees are not that clear. I have also purchased gems from Party City and they are very clear and beautiful. You DIY Project and just Beautiful ❤💯

Hi new Sub here! I love this!! Now I have an idea of how to cover my old bring ugly curved sconces!! I'm loving your channel already!!
I love those gems, I order them and the bag came with them and I like them better than the dollar tree gems and dollar tree has cut back on the amount you get. I also noticed the mirrors aren't beveled anymore, those little clear gems you used to get 20 with the color changing small round faux candle, you now only get 12 with the faux candle now, all the mirrors are now smaller and there's a few other things ,but I just thought I'd share my aggravation with you !!! Lol
I noticed the mirrors too ;( I haven't noticed the rock gems being less.
If you go to Hobby Lobby. When you walk in turn to the floral section. You'll see the foam wreaths and other floral foam. Beside that they have the floral fillers. The BEST deal on those is Hobby Lobby. You get a HUGE bag for $4. Idk how many it is (it's a LOT) but since you mentioned those I wanted to share this with you. I was in shock seeing those mirrors. I didn't know the other gems were being cut back too. I have some very old packs. I'll never use em bc they're super cloudy. I didn't pay much attention I was just happy to find em in the moment. Anyway those are 2.96 oz and the newer ones I have are the same. (when I say newer I racked up 6 months ago) They must of cut back recently but I haven't been able to find em. I figured quality would get better since Dollar Tree stores about to become Dollar Tree Plus where they charge more. Idk what's going on with them. I totally feel your frustration! I'm with you. I'm so gonna miss the mirrors.
Oh and they're smaller. The backs say 4.5 inches so not only are they not beveled we lost a half inch. ;(

I did see where they have the new $5 dollar tree plus and I was surprised at that, but it's all good just hope they don't cut back on everything thats a dollar !! Thanks for the tip, after you said it I remembered I had got some back when they were 50% off. I stocked up on the dollar tree gems thankfully so I still have quite a few, but it want take long to run out with all the DIY'S I do, so amazon is so handy and they usually get to me fairly quick!! BTW - My channel started out as something totally different. It was going to be about Tiny Living & renovations. One day I shared a mirrored candle holder & then a glam mirror. Everyone loved it so Ibegan to do more crafts and show how I make things until that became what my channel was about. My daughter says she never tried to go far to College because of me .However, She been gone far home at 20 yrs old I cried but, She butt moved 30 mins. away stay here 4 months under a 12 lease and was here the entire time back in her old bedroom and her brother wanted that room not guest bedroom so he gets out if he’s room to let her sleep there because she was home sick 😆and missed her room. She now has a condo in walking distance. I said I was moving to the area my son goes. California was n the table then. She believed me so I kept on it turned into a prank😂 She was trying to tell me “It’s just not normal Mom”😂 she really didn’t want to hurt my feelings😂I sent her RV pics with until I found a home is will be my space. She was so stressed her brother. Which was here I knew when I sent that RV the text was ending.lol she was trying to text her brother. Then FaceTime me . I told her it was turned into a prank since she believed me. They all then said Mom that is something you would do so, It’s not like I wouldn’t do this.Too funny. Thanks a lot for the laughs. Thank you Marie! I agree, the gems on Amazon are a better deal. It comes out to be $1.89 diff to be exact plus you get the adorable storage bag that you don't get with DT ones. I still have a few more DT gems left but I knew I was getting low. That Effie Tower put a huge dent in my stock.

I'm usually rushing trying to get everything finished so I can publish when I'm doing that part. I need to slow down & pay more attention.
