I just think it says something about the generosity of one's musical soul to say, "Hey, I have this beautiful ballad I wrote. Why don't we bring the tempo up on it, to bring it closer to your wheelhouse and then why don't you and I riff on it for like ten minutes, back and forth?" Eric is a musical genius and treasure for the ages.
Does anybody viewing this know who Mike Stern is..........EJ should be honored that Mike is playing with him. Eric can learn a great deal from Mike............both are great players, but Mike if a far superior soloist........I was impressed that Mike laid back in this song in respect to the headliner.
Great improvisation, but sounding like same solos all the time..that outgoing jazzblues... influences from Bach and so on...its a great mixture, but Im sure they could play more new ideas and lines...it needs more personality as Albert King had...anyways great stuff...best in world...
Too bad this wonderful performance is marred by, & others have to listen to, audience members interjecting their emotions 😡😱😳Save it for the end, please!
Best guitar player in the world. How he comes up with those perfectly voiced chords is mindblowing.
Wow man!!!! He has such an amazing tone and touch!!!!! Limitless feel!!!! :)
Great song; one of my favorites of his. Nice to see both using their signature guitars as well
