I just finished my first ever first draft of a novel, and this video could not have come at a better time. Specifically, Erin’s note. I’ve been a little burnt out since I hit the end of the story from juggling both my UA-cam/art and writing life and haven’t felt like I see the point of taking those last steps needed like editing, making a cover, and just publishing already, dang it. Thanks, Erin, for reminding me a little when I needed it about WHY I started this journey in the first place. I can do this, at whatever pace I need.

I made one of these before but a bit different. My grandma cut pieces of cardboard (more pieces than what you had) and got me yarn to sew around it. It was easy and fun to make. I believe she still has it.

They should have included a balloon and mache mix. Used to make bowls and baskets that way. Just put your floss in the mix and wrap it around the bottom half of the balloon. Brush on a layer of the mache mix and let dry overnight. Lastly, pop the balloon to remove.
