Nice video bro, that's insane 😱 At the beginning when you were missing all those bites, wait longer to set the hook and pop your rod to see if the fish is on, also set straight up not sideways. I have a couple spots I can take you where you can easily get a 7+ snakehead.
Give me a shout and lets go sometime. Caught my first 10 pounder a couple weeks ago. I've caught numerous 8 and 9 pounders, but didn't think I was ever going to get a double digit. If you wanna hook up sometime, give me a shout at swkelley@hotmail.com. I normally fish on Sundays.
Hi ... I live in Argentina and in a few days I will travel to Weston, Florida. What can I fish at this time? I'm going to take my fly rod ... what line and flies do you recommend? Thank you
In Weston there are tons of peacock bass, largemouth, snook, tarpon and a bunch of other smaller species. Fly rods work great down here especially for peacock bass. Any little minnow imitation works great. I like to use clouser minnows but there are a wide variety of flies that’ll work. I normally run an 8wt set up because there are bigger fish you can hook into while peacock bass fishing, so it’s good to be ready for that. Hope this helps you out. Feel free to ask anymore questions if you have more.
Nice video, but you should really pace the fish in the water carefully when releasing them instead of just tossing them in from high up on the bank. I had a friend that caught a bass once that was still in the process of swallowing a snakehead when he landed it. Good luck next year trying to catch a double digit snake. Lots of anglers still kill every one they catch because they are uninformed....makes it difficult to catch the big ones. I have been fishing for them over 3 years now and finally caught my first 10lb snakehead, although I have caught lots of them between 8 and 9-1/2lbs. Give me a shout sometime and I'll show you a few spots.
swkelley and somehow snakeheads get all the bad rep.. to me they are all predatory fish some might be a little aggressive then others but they all eat other things

Yeah, I've caught a 12 at this one spot and my friend caught a 14 there. Not to mention we've caught multiple 10s there

Thanks bro. Definitely gonna be hunting for one next year.
I’m pretty sure even peacock bass eat large mouths
Yup they sure do and largemouth.
Peacocks are much more of a threat to bass than snakeheads. Go to Miami and see how many bass you catch compared to peas.

Briian, EXACTLY!
Kinda sucks that there eating bass
Ya I know but that’s how it is.
Fish eat fish, that's what they do. Bass eat snakeheads too.
