Honestly, they probably wanted someone to treat them like normal people instead of stars. A few famous people dont want the pampering, recognition, or fans drooling over them. A family member was a limousine driver/owner. He had high dollar clients he just treated like normal people. Never asked for autographs, pictures or so forth. Always repeat business from them.

I think it's because, like water is usually a safe place to land. And then there's that whole sticking your feet into the water before you jump in metaphor. Water has a lot of metaphorical meanings that relate to love.
