Fantastic sparkle emerger and cdc & elk hair caddis pattern. I learned how to tie both patterns several years ago by watching your videos Tim! Wish I viewed it live! Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

It's important to have the Antron underneath this fly. It must be tied sparsely and it must be tied 360 degrees around the shank. Remember, the fish are looking up at this fly. He sees the underside of the fly. The fisherman looks at the top of the fly and it looks great but the proof is what the upward look causes the fish to trigger.

The La Fontaine Pupa is the only fly I've cut off because the trout were consistently taking it too deeply. Well, at least I went to a larger size ...

Tim: were you saying Hans Weilenmann was the originator of this fly? The audio skipped a little while you were saying his name

Tim you may not get this as it's 2 years ago - but I'm always interested in experienced fisherman saying "this is a fly you need to have". I know your selling alot here and in all your videos but this is a trout magnet? Im going on a 2 month getaway and plan to be eating trout (if i can catch) as a main food source other then corn nuts.... (joke). Just wondering - i got a bunch of Pheasant tails and woolly buggers made

Too much narrative, just tie the fly!

That is why this is a live tying. I actually prefer these for flies I struggle with.

      More narrative the better
