You should absolutely watch "History of the Earth" by Algol, its 11 minutes long, but it also has info pop-ups for events, so all the reading actually makes it 20-30 minutes. Definitely worth a watch. It also inspired this video.

@@ok-vk9fv It is, but Algol's video is also entertaining, seeing all the continents/islands come together and rip apart, seeing all the different ice ages and the color of water change to something that isnt blue. And the info-cards

I knew we had several ice ages before, but I didn't expect the average temperature of the earth to be so different so "often"
And the time period when it was warm and therefore all animals were gigantic is just mad
so "often" being roughly every 50-100mil yeears.
Yea its crazy, also good job getting a heart from Jack.
Yeah we should be slowly falling into a new one, so slowly humanity would probably have oomphed itself before that could happen, but our greenhouse gas emissions are making such an impact that not knly have we negated the cooling effect, we are straight up fast forwarding to another super hot era.
That’s why some people think you can’t predict what’s going to come next cuz we never know we could just go out anytime really

Jack The lighting in the start of the video is a great idea! You should create custom lighting based on the mood of the video! Purple for Space/Earth Videos, Green For Geoguessr/Geography videos, Blue for normal reactions etc. Perhaps you can get a lighting specialist!

1:31 i believe that one was because of the cyanobacteria converting all the present carbon dioxide into oxygen, but most living things at the time were using carbon dioxide for respiration so they died and new ones evolved which breathed oxygen

I have been watch for such a long time and soon
I learnt all the countries, flags, states, state flags, provinces and territories of Canada, the Governoarates of Jordan 🇯🇴 (where I’m from btw free Palestine), the states and territories of Australia, the regions of Singapore and lastly quite a lot of capitals but not all. If you do so maybe you can learn their flags. Love from Jordan 🇯🇴 and Palestine 🇵🇸

I saw something on Reddit that said something very crazy that showed the true age of the universe. If the start of the universe to the current time right now were mapped onto a calendar, where the beginning of the universe is on January 1st at 12:00 am and the current time of the universe is on December 31st at 11:59 pm, the homo sapiens would have only appeared at 11:52 pm on December 31st.
That is just crazy.

Great video! I have noticed however that it shows the Tyrannosaurus in the Jurrassic period. If i recall correctly, it was actually the cretacious period in which they lived.
While yes tyrannosaurus is from late cretaceous the video wrote “tyrannosaurs” so not t.rex specifically which would’ve started evolving right at the end of jurassic. Example is Juratyrant
