@@straightsix9140 Nah, there were Mercedes Benz Unimog (1946) and MB Trac (1972), before JCB Fastrac. Pity MB sold MB Trac to Werner and MB Trac was later manufactured as LTS Trac, Doppstat Trac and WF trac

Very good concept but inherently unreliable jcb are makers of quality earth moving equipment so please build some of that quality into the fastrac then perhaps in this part of the world it will lose its nickname of fastcrap
It’s unreliable reputation comes from when idiots haven’t ran a fastrac an treet it like a normal tractor and ruin the clutch and gearbox quality machines if driven correctly and greased often have heard of 2140 fastrac doing 28,000 hours without mayor issues

Brilliant video, there is something about these old videos and how they are made that makes me remember the old days :)
What a brilliant video
I've driven an early(ish) Fastrac (P reg) beast of a machine but bloodly loud
0:26. Doesn't driving at this speed affect the plough or the 3 point hinge?
You want to have tried the 185/ 65 hauling a trailer with 18 tons of potatoes on the open road no problem.
❤❤❤❤❤
Don't know why they bothered with an ac system the ac isn't worth a shit in any 8250 or 8310 I've ever ran

Did JCB Never See a Unimog ?
Or a MB Trac 😁
Just before they got the idea for the fastrac i'd say.
Probably cost twice a normal tractor
It would have been ,as its twice the tractor ! Tractors of that era which were slow ,uncomfortable and simply not in the same league as Fastrac
