In the second episode, Reinhard was described as "different" in the Japanese translation, and after seeing the reaction of foreigners, I felt that the translation was wrong. 異 = different, 質 = nature
In 2nd loop he was right to find rachins 1st in order to summon reinhard since he doesn't know where exactly he is or maybe too far to walk on foot and there's not enough time to explain it within 10 mins and don't ignore the fact that subaru himself had no broad idea about the enemy's full ability so all he had to think about is to stop her within the time available

He literally needed to die to even get info about how Authority of Wrath works, he also couldn't call Reinhardt because the only guy who could call him got brainwashed, Reinhardt's entire existence is also hazardous towards Betty since she's a spirit.
