Instead discussing the accompanying musician we should appreciate the singing. I have listened MALKAUNSE from very prominent classical singers. I don't compare; but believe me this rendition has its own class, its a gem . Superb rendition of RAAGAA MALKAUNSE.
Kumarji ( Gandharva) had said in private, thank god Lata is not singing Hindustani classical in mehfils, otherwise no one would have come to listen to us in our mehfils!! What a tribute by one great artist to another !!!!

Around 1950, Mr. P.R.Bhide’s institute ‘Topic’ had produced a ten- minute film on Raag Malkauns in Lataji’s voice. ( In 1959 After Sanyas was known as Swami Vijnananand, founder of Manashakti Kendra, Lonavala.) ‘Topic’ stands for ‘Theatre of Propaganda and Culture’,the promotion of culture project. The institute had made around thirty short films on numerous topics for ‘ social education and awareness’. All these short films and their negatives were handed over to ‘Famous Cine Laboratory’, Mumbai, for their preservation by TOPIC. After some time, Famous Company informed in a letter to TOPIC that in a devastating fire of 1953 all the films and negatives were destroyed. That letter is published along with this article of special issue of magazine ‘ Manashakti Diwali 1992 ’ . However, Lataji’s 10-minute soundtrack was recorded on a tape. Mr. Bhide used it for his own study and experiments. The three articles here mention about the outcome of Mr. Bhide’s experiments. After listening to the Malkauns, many were relieved of their backaches, headaches, stomach aches, toothache and so on. One should read the original articles on Music Therapy published in Manashakti Diwali 1992 & 1994. Those were the first - ever experiments in what is today is known as music therapy.

If one looks at gaana saraswathi kishori amonkar, she only sang in one or two movies "geeth gaya patharone" and one more movie and then she totally focused on shashtriya sangeet

Bilkul bhi nahi hai. sab pavitrta or shanti pasand karte hain jo humra(inner) swbhaav hai. fir bhi aaj kal ke song me kamukta na bhari jaye to singer ki or director ko bezti mehsoos hoti hai par aisa nahi hai. NAYE YUG ke LALACH me akar sab seemaye langhte kya bhool hi gye hain. To apne desh ki sanskruti ko kayam rakhna hi hamara kartavya hai.. beautiful classical singer to hai hi iske saath instruments like PAKHAWAJ ,VEENA ,SITAAR ka use dobara hona chahiye ta ki agar koi sune or parivaar me baithkar shonk se sune or sunaye .
Sure. I think Kuldeep M Pai did so much in that way and succeeded in several absolute jewel without theater neither artifice (Sooryagayathri) . Surprisingly, Uthara Unnikrishnan also recorded some absolute classical jewels, Carnatic, ghazal ... and that's divine. Certainly the big mistake of many producers is to turn classical divine music in a tumultuous ambiance that loose the essential soul. Fortunately some people keep on a pure tradition. मेरी जानकारी के अनुसार ,दिग्दर्शक दिनकर द.पाटील का मराठी पिक्चर ' दिसत तस नसतं ' १९६० के आसपास .इस पिक्चर मे संगीतकार स्व.वसंत प्रभू के निर्देशन में लतादीदींने महफिल वाला खयाल गायकी के गाने गाये थे । फिल्मकी शूटींगभी उभी प्रकार से हुई थी। दुसरी बात ये है की , हिंदुस्थानी फिल्म सृष्टीमे अखंड उज्ज्वल नाम करने वाली लतादीदींने इसी महफिलके सारंगी वादक स्व.पं.रामनारायणजीके घर रियाझ करने कई साल जाती रही थी । उनके भाई हृदयनाथ मंगेशकर जी शायद संगीतकार स्व.सलिल चौधरी के सहायक थे । मराठी निर्देशक की एक मराठी फिल्म में स्व.सलिल चौधरीजीने संगीत दिया था ,ये मुझे याद है ।

Hmare kyaal se jaisa didi gaate hain shuru se classical . Unke jaisa to shyada hi koi itna sundar or manmohak gaata hoga fir bhi aaj kal ke singers ko unke jaisa banne ki koshish karni chahiye . Kio ki aaj kal ek song aata hai jald hi flop ho jata hái. Classical nahi hai na . Bilkul bhi nahi hai. sab pavitrta or shanti pasand karte hain jo humra(inner) swbhaav hai. fir bhi aaj kal ke song me kamukta na bhari jaye to singer ki or director ko bezti mehsoos hoti hai par aisa nahi hai. NAYE YUG ke LALACH me akar sab seemaye langhte kya bhool hi gye hain. To apne desh ki sanskruti ko kayam rakhna hi hamara kartavya hai.. beautiful classical singer to hai hi iske saath instruments like PAKHAWAJ ,VEENA ,SITAAR ka use dobara hona chahiye ta ki agar koi sune or parivaar me baithkar shonk se sune or sunaye .
Sure. I think Kuldeep M Pai did so much in that way and succeeded in several absolute jewel without theater neither artifice (Sooryagayathri) . Surprisingly, Uthara Unnikrishnan also recorded some absolute classical jewels, Carnatic, ghazal ... and that's divine. Certainly the big mistake of many producers is to turn classical divine music in a tumultuous ambiance that loose the essential soul. Fortunately some people keep on a pure tradition. Excellent. She sings in tivra swar. Emphasising NI, alwys sings in tivra swar. It is difficult but it is Lataji! Thanks for unloading this priceless video. I heard Malkuans in a film song where Usha Kiran was reciting and Lataji in plyaback. Unfortunately that video is taken out.

मेरी जानकारी के अनुसार ,दिग्दर्शक दिनकर द.पाटील का मराठी पिक्चर ' दिसत तस नसतं ' १९६० के आसपास .इस पिक्चर मे संगीतकार स्व.वसंत प्रभू के निर्देशन में लतादीदींने महफिल वाला खयाल गायकी के गाने गाये थे । फिल्मकी शूटींगभी उभी प्रकार से हुई थी। दुसरी बात ये है की , हिंदुस्थानी फिल्म सृष्टीमे अखंड उज्ज्वल नाम करने वाली लतादीदींने इसी महफिलके सारंगी वादक स्व.पं.रामनारायणजीके घर रियाझ करने कई साल जाती रही थी । उनके भाई हृदयनाथ मंगेशकर जी शायद संगीतकार स्व.सलिल चौधरी के सहायक थे । मराठी निर्देशक की एक मराठी फिल्म में स्व.सलिल चौधरीजीने संगीत दिया था ,ये मुझे याद है ।
