I really want to volunteer at Zopilote!!!! I’ve messaged them but they havent responded, might just show up ahah. Makes me happy seeing you embrace the hippie life, experiencing ecstatic dances & barefoot life. I’ve been travelling between places with this kind of community for about a year and a half, just took up poi/fire spinning haha This life has sucked me in.

Hidden amongst the nonsense about Russia "giving" so much to Ukraine [think of Stalin's artificial famine that killed millions], she seemed to dislike Ukrainians because she thought that they did not want to be like Russians. As though they had an obligation to be like Russians!
From my research and talking to people, Nicaragua is still under duress of a communist dictatorship that planted themselves in the 80s and much has not changed, they allow tourism to flow bc it enriches their pockets but as you can see the citizens, the infrastructure, etc is still sub par. In other words a country with more potential than Costa Rica, or perhaps Central America but it cannot progress as it should as long as that dictatorship lingers, whereas Costa Rica has had decades of progress and prosperity since they have remained neutral on wars, politics, etc, so obviously CR would seem more modernized. In terms of what to do overall, diversity of landscapes and cost, Nicaragua is the sure bet. If one day Nicaragua drees themselves from their government, CR wouldn’t even come close to it. Not taking sides here before anyone gets butt hurt, just speaking facts on geographical, and economical research.
