Quick note, there's 3 mods that could change things a lot for Kyle. There's HP Collector (heal on kill with an internal CD) and Conditional Recharge (You gain shields and lose hp every time you use a skill, but you can't drop below 1 hp from this effect). There's also Shield Collector, which is what I actually WANT to use, but the thing can't be farmed. You have to combine mods for it. What it does is restore shields on kill. Currently using HP collector nearly maxed (3 sec cooldown for 9% hp heal on kill) to offset Conditional Recharge's HP cost. This way my shoulder slams give me shields and energy bar, I lose HP but I'm not taking HP damage as my shields are building up, so I just have to kill a few dudes to build my HP back up while cycling between using Magnetism Spurt and my shields to tank hits. Because I'm getting shields back every time I use a skill, I basically always have enough to put up Magnetism Bulwark. That was how I dealt with the survivability problem at the moment, though admittedly I'm still moving into endgame content as I focused on surviving vs doing damage initially, so I'm not sure how well this works later on, but considering Executioner (hard) was taking like 8 minutes to kill me and I was up there tickling it's toes the whole time, it probably still works.
Nvm with the Conditional Recharge and HP collector combo, the game must have glitched when I was able to equip them together before. They both are from the same mod group thus can't be equipped together. Shield Collector by itself should be excellent though.
there's also amplification controls that increases skill range (+51.7%) and shields (+36.5%). plus, it doesn't conflict with 'incresed shield' and 'weighing the scales'. you can get over 200% extra shields.
The no. 4 ability also does not use magnetic force up fully if you do not hit the ground. Great way to use to keep up with bunny's getting round the map. Just fly off the ground for the full 6 seconds of airtime.
First of all absolutely awesome guide. Im loving Kyle and going all in with him. One question. Why you take Iron Will over Increased def? Doesn't regular one give more def with same cost? Also if the skill modifier aint really giving us dmg shouldnt we keep focus on tech at level 1?
@@outOfRateGaming this was an oversight on my part, I picked iron will to synergize with his passive but the blue Increased DEF is the better mod to slot or something like spear and shield is also excellent! Keeping focus on tech at level 1 is a great way to reduce cost just to get that cooldown, if you keep it upgraded you lose ~100k so it’s a great idea if you don’t have the time to invest!
@@zzzqw I would slot in HP conversion (shield) and shield and spear and focus on adding into your shield so that magnetism spurt can tank more dmg (because more shield = more magnetic force which = more dmg consumed before magnetic force depletes) if you feel like you are easily managing your magnetic force and slot In increased def, spear and shield and HP conversion (shield)
Been waiting on this one! That Iron Will mod is actually perfect. Been running Kyle for pretty much all my play time thus far, and it's that moment after dive bombing into a boss that I found to be the most vulnerable and really the only time I feel in danger as Kyle. Iron Will seems to synchronize perfectly with his kit, definitely will keep an eye out for it. Thanks for this in-depth guide, easily the best Kyle content out there. Would love to see your hard mode intercept missions using Kyle!
I don't get it... How does it help with his kit? You get 0 benefit while you have a shield active. So, why not just go with a defense mod instead and make your shield and health stronger at all times?
@@fredericbrasseur7399 Because there will be plenty of moments where your shields are down and that big increase to defense is going to save your life a lot during those moments of trying to recover.
also a little add to this if you are just spamming his 3, multitalented helps with the added cooldown if you want more damage. Only if you spam 3. gives 20% cd.

Curious why willpower over the standard defense mod? Wouldn't the standard be better as you always have the def rather than willpower or am I missing something?
Idk about Iron will. His entire build is about having as much shield as possible with his passive regenerating his shield when it runs out. Seems very counterintuitive as there wont be many situations where your shield is at 0. Instead I like to run Conditional Recharge. HP is very easy to restore in this games thanks to adds often dropping health, and if you got a healer you never struggle with hp. And since shield is so important might as well just take HP conversion shield. It gives way more shield then weight the scales and if you have 0 shield with no magnetism ur already likely fkd.
@@dannyalexander2328 The idea is to have your overshield up all the time since it scales with your max shield. I have 4k shield atm and I can keep my shield forever as long as there are enemy to slam into. My biggest struggle is when Im unable to consistently slam into something to keep the shield up.
@vilxxblack2472 It's been a struggle to figure out how to build him ngl. I've spent hours watching different videos to get an understanding but it's always so split. Some say build around HP and Def because shields is useless in hard mode and it's gone in seconds, others say something else. So far my lay out now I got shields to 3k and my cooldowns-. I got the passive to 77.1 seconds lol. Not fully sure how to get it lower than that but perhaps I'm doing something wrong. I'm slamming into enemies all the time and my shield still gets cooked.
@@dannyalexander2328 Stop watching videos then and play the game for yourself. Against bosses you should be able to avoid most damage anyway since its telegraphed. Sure building health and defense is probably the noobs easy way out but its not playing around Kyles strong points and thats his shield and overshield.
Heads up, self directed eruption makes you unable to do anything else but move while casting, so you lose out on the ability to do other things such as shoot and grapple.
@@Thattyguy_ this is something I was talking about a bit in the video, you can opt for range to nuke ads all around, I love Kyle because he has so much build versatility and can be built in so many ways!

My only question: does DEF work with shield(s) or only with HP? Also, looking at your kit - try Secret Garden. May be a cornerstone you did not realize you needed. To all the Kyle mains here - be proud! This character really is a monster and is a hybrid tank/dps. Takes time get him the catalysts (formas for the WF players) but he's a beast!

thank you! Are you asking with Iron Will procs how high my defense goes? Sorry I might be misunderstanding the question. If the question is a 97.3% increase to your shield so lets assume you were at base DEF, max level, you would get 4,816 DEF. I suggest slotting an Increased DEF mod if survivability is an issue, or even better an Increased HP mod!
I missread the info if you hover mouse over DEF. Its describing how much you can max reduce DEF(80%), not describing a DEF max cap. Sorry, my bad. But lets say you max out An Iron Will, so Base DEF +128.3% = 4816 DEF. And you max out Increased Defence, so Base DEF +160.4% = 6356 DEF. They both have 16 capacity cost and if you only use one of those modules. Wouldnt you prefer having 6356 DEF at all times instead of 4816 DEF when your shield breaks?
You made me fall in love with Kyle! Would it be worth to fill my last couple of slots with skill crit chance and damage? Do those even make a noticeable difference ?
@@krispnuggets8781 so skill crit chance and damage are always nice on abilities with insanely high DPS because a crit for instance let’s say you have a 50% crit damage increase, the crit would hit base damage times, your crit damage multiplier. Just make sure you have enough crit chance to proc crits often, if not then fill up that’s extra space with “sword and shield” or something like Increase HP for more survivability! Great video! Say I have the full 80 slots. Should I slot in health mods? Like the max health one, and spear and shield? Or just the basic max defence mod? Edit: Formad him twice already, third ones in the oven. Energy activator done too. I wanna make the most unreasonably tanky Kyle ever. Gotta make that chonky armor functional. 😂
@@raunaknandi7831 a health mod would be great for survivability, swap iron will with the basic blue Increase DEF or both as you suggested, spear and shield is also an excellent mod to throw in and any other cooldown mods you can find that fit to make your ability spam even better! Also check out the short I posted to see a trick you can use to build magnetic force early in intercept battles!

Hello There! And once again a HUGE Thanks for helping out with your content! You know me by know...a HUGE fan of you build guide. And you sure did not do any thing to change that with this guide. I followed everything you help me out with and is no Running a 3p extra Catalyst build (And yes it is my main build thanks to you ;)) ...so I got extra HP and "Weighing the Scale" in there as well. But If not the HP... Do you have a tipe for more than "W---the scale" ...is Extra HP the best? Because as you said...He is preatty darn tanky but will put him self in some really bad positions some times. But a BIG thanks for me for this "Series of Kyle" :)) The build is fun as hell and a big fan of you content. So keep it up and hope see more from you! Best Regards and Good Luck!!
Extra HP is great if survivability is an issue for you! Defense and HP are amazing stats ans MUST haves on almost ALL descendants. It never hurts to build into either! If you dont have already, check out Spear and Shield, very strong module!
Instead of the legendary defense mod "iron will" why dont use the blue def mode(increase def)? that is also active while you have shield and gives more def, like what? and u strongly recommend farm it?
OMG you filter for defense as "defense" and you miss that, there is literary a blue mod that gives you a shit ton of def, but it is say DEF and not defense you you never see it :D
Sure look like fun play style. After finish the story today, Playing mostly as Ajax and enjoy him big time. I want to change it up. Not sure to go farm for Kyle or Enzo first !!!! I'm totally sure that when u activate magnetic spure it depletes all remaining magnetic force... But I see, you are activating it and your magnetic force is intact.. With your CD reductions, you could almost spam it.. I would recommend to upgrade Kyle's capacity and add a module to maximize the range of abilities.. I will try this when I go home
im pretty sure for the reactor. if you switch to ur MG. you wont get the benefit no more since yours is SG. im sure thats how it works. so its better to have one with MG on it since u use that most of the time.
I REALLY REALLY wish they buff shields soon. HP and DEF is meta and makes you invincible. It’s so sad actually that going for shield is only because of skills. Better have 0 shield but 20k hp and 30k+ def than 4-7k shield if you even can manage to get that. And then guess what, the shield is getting melted down because it seems like def isn’t scaling with it? Atleast I heard so and it definitely feels like it too. Then we have NO way to recharge shields properly (there is a hidden module to get shield back with combining modules but yeah good luck with getting that). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buff shields so that people’s actually diverse their builds and that Kyle actually can recharge their shields up to thousands and not hundreds. Please. Edit: Enemies drop the hp packs why not shield energy batteries too? That would be a small buff for it. But still just a small one.
@@xVongolaXth I like the shield battery drop idea, better yet they should 10000% increase the damage a shield can take, it’s severely underpowered. I imagine soon they will adjust this!
@@Eefann I REALLY love Kyle. His ability to recharge teammates shields is so good but you know they have a very small shield pool. Atleast those that know Wut they’re doing. I walked around with 4K shields on Kyle and I only had ONE encounter with a teammate, where I didn’t recharge their shield fully. It was an Ajax. Which means, he had more than me. Which was totally ok and I don’t want them to primarily focus on shields only but I want them to have 2-4K shields which isn’t made out of plastic. I am getting emotional about this because it’s so sad and actually very boring because going for hp + def builds is SO easy. Even a Bunny who is supposed to be either glasscannon or well not as good damage but added survivability but they’re being a tank, fast af and still doing very good damage. Even some tanks die before my bunny def hp raid build. It’s cool but at the same time annoying to know that shields are no option. Aah I am looping I am sorry about this haha I’ll stop.
Am I missing something or is taking iron will over the plain increased defense module always worse? Iron will requires you to be at 0% shield to be active at all while increased defense scales to 160% at 16 points and is unconditionally active. My own build looks nearly the same but I put in an energy activator and a couple more catalysts to allow skill expansion for more reliable AoE quality of life on the shoulder tackle and ultimate.
My reasoning for this was to build Into the fact that you want your shield to break other cool down to get the magnetic force regen and shield regen, so this makes it to where you can get your shield broken more easily and play into the magnetic care passive. However, running the straight defense mod, spear and shield and an iron will if you have the space would be the most optimal if you have the capacity to do so!
@@Dingzilla when I play Kyle I mainly focus on managing the uptime of my magnetism spurt for invulnerability, the only time I let it go down is on SC cast and when a big mechanic or damage hits me, that’s when magnetic care kicks in and gives me all my shield and force back, and I go back to managing the uptime of my spurt. So the extra defense in my play style only matters mostly when spurt is down, and when it’s down it’s usually also when my shield is down. Using the base inc def is 100% viable and up to you if you’d like! You can even combine the 2 and drop focus on tech for even more survivability!
@@Eefann Kyle scales off shield so in my current build no An Iron Will and fill the last 5 slots with. Amplification Control, HP conversion, Potent Collector, Spear and Shield, and Non-Attribute Syncytium. Amplification Control = More max shield also range so easier to hit skill 1,3, and 4 HP conversion = More max shield, less hp Potent Collector = Free magentic force on kills spear and shield = some def and more skill power Non-attribute Syncytium = crit resistance and more skill power. If you need the HP, replace Syncytium with Battle of Stamina for hp and duration which helps keep spurt up a lil longer With this u get like 20k shield and 40k magnetic force. you keep your magentism spurt and magnetic force up with cdr with skill 1 and Potent collector. Also you nuke harder

It is sad how slept on Kyle is. He is perhaps the most tanky descendent when played correctly. Not to mention he has the highest burst damage ultimate in the game right now.
I run Focus on Tech, Focus on NA > NA master bc cooldowns are king on Kyle and Conditional Recharge can be added but isnt a priority, this is something you could slot in a freebie slot when you have "Extra" space! Hope this helps!
I am really unsure on how many crystallization catalysts to use on characters? I am guessing that filling every slot with a symbol is overkill? I have 3 catalysts left I have used 2 on Kyle (the same ones in this video) not sure whether to save them for another Descendant or just go all out on Kyle and fill as many mods as I can?
If you want to take your Kyle to the edge you could forma/crystallization catalyst every slot and absolutely deck him out! It depends if this will be your only descendant or just one of your few mains! IMO, I think you should save some and try other descendants, you might find a new main that you love.
Leave one slot naked for resistance mod it will help a lot on the big bosses but remember to forma the bottom left slot to add another 5 to your capacity. I’ve got 4 on him atm plus the 2 he comes with.
Great video but wanted to note that I ended up swapping from Iron will to just the blue defense mod. The defense values are similar and I was having an issue where when my shield would start to regenerate, I would just get bodied by the next attack I took because I would no longer have the increased defense from Iron Will. Could also be a me issue, but have been liking the build a lot since I made the switch to the blue defense mod. Subscribed and looking forward to more content!
This is an excellent change and keeps your defense higher at all times, great job! Also, note that you can slot both if you have extra space if you did like the +90% after your shield breaks, or find another defense mod to stack on, just keep in mind the first big drop off for defense starts at 40-50k! Kyle main here, love the build but I have one question. Is there a reason why you don't run HP Conversion (shield) for the 158% shield, yes it decreases hp by 52.4%. Both Conversion and increased shield would give you 300% shield so was just wondering if the health decrease was too much for you to run it.
the health/defense is much better than shield, shield is very weak atm and the dmg increase you get is great, but not if you cant stay alive, however, one of the main reasons I love kyle is his versatility in builds. you can go full defense, full dps etc. !
Health is weaker than shield for kyle, you basically have 3 shields with your spurt and passive, it also makes your ultimate hit like a truck, rn I run 10k shield 500 hp and can facetank ALL hard bosses no problem
If you are talking about the Energy Activator, it's sold for 1,200 caliber. IE $25 for an extra 20 mod slots. Better off farming it unless you have a lot of extra money.
If you’re referring to the transcendent mod, in this case I would have bought it so I could show you guys exactly how good it is, but in normal circumstances, farming for the mod isn’t that bad I just got atrocious rng and the game was not on my side haha. Regardless, the transcendent mods aren’t purchasable from the shop unless you get an ultimate skin pack bundle.
If squish is a problem, Slot in an Increased HP mod and try to slot in a Spear and Shield as well for the base Skill Power boost and better survivability!
direct forehead contact always adds a bit more damage, a good headbutt will get the job done! On a serious note you can direct or land close but if you hit the ground you will usually get put into a "stagger" animation and not be able to move for abt 1 or 2s so its better IMO to hit the top of the boss and jump or repulsion dash right away to avoid the stagger/stun as much as possible!
@@raysendo my shield is constantly breaking in fights due to the shield in TFD being horrible as it is rn. There’s not a specific reason I chose iron will over increased DEF I was looking for mods that synergize well with Kyle’s play style (or at least how I play him) and that’s always up close and personal so my shield is always down. Like I said I would suggest running both if you have the space to, but if not you can slot increased DEF instead of iron will!
@@ApolloSinsYT If diamagnetic bulwark is your favorite thing you could…but IMO it is wayyy too slow to be effective and remember your shield won’t be a shield anymore so no safe rezzing and no blocking damage from ads/bosses!
All very underwhelming sadly. Albeit fun like dragging around the adds with self directed eruption or spawning a ton of balls with superconductive bombing, but the performance is not where it needs to be. I hope to see a buff to them in the future! If you do decide to go for one, superconductive bombing would be my rec. just know your dps will tank with it
This will get you through endgame easily, however, his potential is through the roof! Just wait for someone to come out and showcase a decked out Kyle, I have high hopes!
@@Eefann I’m just saying it looks like a tank but Ajax does that better and as for offensive abilities it’s got nowhere near the dmg output of gley or lepic which is why most people aren’t using him
@@dfillio8993ypur talking about a pure tank with meh damage, and glass cannons (lepic is a beast overall) but Kyle is a tank with arguably the strongest scaling ulti in game.

@Eefann either Enzo or Esiemo is great because they are new and there is little to no good guides yet. Skip Gley. Every other creators have a video on Gley - crowded field. Your Kyle was very good and nobody had something like that at the time. Be sure to do a real gameplay demol like how you did for Kyle. Dummy test only is boring and unrealistic

@@GST.Spectre I’m saying that the Blue defense mod is the better mod to equip first, I made a mistake and put the iron defense over the base Increased defense! Sorry for the poor explanation but you are correct, the blue mod is better!
Skill power modifier stat is a trash for Kyle, he need only Skill Power stat, so "Iron Defence" mod is way worse than "Spear and Shield" mod. And "Focus on Tech" mod is good only for -6.1 cool down reduction . Avoid Skill Power Modifier on Kyle at any cost, sped more on HP, Shield and Def stats instead.
As a kyle main is really pleasant, I've seen all these bunnies' weebs droping like flies on end game bosses, and im the only lone survival, always finishing the fight

@@str8vlogs900 I would upgrade it as much as you can as you get more capacity! Another great mod to try is sword and shield and the same applies, upgrade it as much as you can as you get more space with maxed out being your goal for both!

@@KevinCalvelli yeah the drop rates have been absolutely awful, and it appeased the drop rates were incorrectly displayed based off todays hotfix notes/patch notes. Hopefully the grind gets a little less painful starting today!

If you can get Shield Collector. You get shields every 2secs when you kill an enemy. It’s pretty solid.

Nvm with the Conditional Recharge and HP collector combo, the game must have glitched when I was able to equip them together before. They both are from the same mod group thus can't be equipped together. Shield Collector by itself should be excellent though.

there's also amplification controls that increases skill range (+51.7%) and shields (+36.5%). plus, it doesn't conflict with 'incresed shield' and 'weighing the scales'. you can get over 200% extra shields.
Great mod! Sadly Shields are a bit underwhelming in comparison to def and hp
The no. 4 ability also does not use magnetic force up fully if you do not hit the ground. Great way to use to keep up with bunny's getting round the map. Just fly off the ground for the full 6 seconds of airtime.

@@outOfRateGaming this was an oversight on my part, I picked iron will to synergize with his passive but the blue Increased DEF is the better mod to slot or something like spear and shield is also excellent! Keeping focus on tech at level 1 is a great way to reduce cost just to get that cooldown, if you keep it upgraded you lose ~100k so it’s a great idea if you don’t have the time to invest!

@@zzzqw I would slot in HP conversion (shield) and shield and spear and focus on adding into your shield so that magnetism spurt can tank more dmg (because more shield = more magnetic force which = more dmg consumed before magnetic force depletes) if you feel like you are easily managing your magnetic force and slot In increased def, spear and shield and HP conversion (shield)
Been waiting on this one! That Iron Will mod is actually perfect. Been running Kyle for pretty much all my play time thus far, and it's that moment after dive bombing into a boss that I found to be the most vulnerable and really the only time I feel in danger as Kyle.
Iron Will seems to synchronize perfectly with his kit, definitely will keep an eye out for it. Thanks for this in-depth guide, easily the best Kyle content out there. Would love to see your hard mode intercept missions using Kyle!
iron will was a pain to farm for me at least even in hard its only a 5% drop chance
I don't get it... How does it help with his kit? You get 0 benefit while you have a shield active. So, why not just go with a defense mod instead and make your shield and health stronger at all times?

also a little add to this if you are just spamming his 3, multitalented helps with the added cooldown if you want more damage. Only if you spam 3. gives 20% cd.

Curious why willpower over the standard defense mod? Wouldn't the standard be better as you always have the def rather than willpower or am I missing something?
the Increased DEF mod would be higher 24/7 and you can slot that in instead or go for both! just stay around 40-50k def
Idk about Iron will. His entire build is about having as much shield as possible with his passive regenerating his shield when it runs out. Seems very counterintuitive as there wont be many situations where your shield is at 0. Instead I like to run Conditional Recharge. HP is very easy to restore in this games thanks to adds often dropping health, and if you got a healer you never struggle with hp. And since shield is so important might as well just take HP conversion shield. It gives way more shield then weight the scales and if you have 0 shield with no magnetism ur already likely fkd.
How much shield you have for it to rarely hit zero? Lol. I have bit over 2500 shield and moment I get swarmed my shit is gone
@@dannyalexander2328 The idea is to have your overshield up all the time since it scales with your max shield. I have 4k shield atm and I can keep my shield forever as long as there are enemy to slam into. My biggest struggle is when Im unable to consistently slam into something to keep the shield up.
@vilxxblack2472 It's been a struggle to figure out how to build him ngl. I've spent hours watching different videos to get an understanding but it's always so split. Some say build around HP and Def because shields is useless in hard mode and it's gone in seconds, others say something else. So far my lay out now I got shields to 3k and my cooldowns-. I got the passive to 77.1 seconds lol. Not fully sure how to get it lower than that but perhaps I'm doing something wrong. I'm slamming into enemies all the time and my shield still gets cooked.
@@dannyalexander2328 Stop watching videos then and play the game for yourself. Against bosses you should be able to avoid most damage anyway since its telegraphed. Sure building health and defense is probably the noobs easy way out but its not playing around Kyles strong points and thats his shield and overshield.

Heads up, self directed eruption makes you unable to do anything else but move while casting, so you lose out on the ability to do other things such as shoot and grapple.

It’s set but you can increase your magnetic force gauge by increasing shields!
I really enjoy running range mods on kyle which i see you opt out of. I really enjoy being able to wipe out a whole room when my 3 pops

thank you! Are you asking with Iron Will procs how high my defense goes? Sorry I might be misunderstanding the question. If the question is a 97.3% increase to your shield so lets assume you were at base DEF, max level, you would get 4,816 DEF. I suggest slotting an Increased DEF mod if survivability is an issue, or even better an Increased HP mod!
I missread the info if you hover mouse over DEF. Its describing how much you can max reduce DEF(80%), not describing a DEF max cap. Sorry, my bad.
But lets say you max out An Iron Will, so Base DEF +128.3% = 4816 DEF. And you max out Increased Defence, so Base DEF +160.4% = 6356 DEF. They both have 16 capacity cost and if you only use one of those modules. Wouldnt you prefer having 6356 DEF at all times instead of 4816 DEF when your shield breaks?
You made me fall in love with Kyle! Would it be worth to fill my last couple of slots with skill crit chance and damage? Do those even make a noticeable difference ?
@@krispnuggets8781 so skill crit chance and damage are always nice on abilities with insanely high DPS because a crit for instance let’s say you have a 50% crit damage increase, the crit would hit base damage times, your crit damage multiplier. Just make sure you have enough crit chance to proc crits often, if not then fill up that’s extra space with “sword and shield” or something like Increase HP for more survivability! @@raunaknandi7831 a health mod would be great for survivability, swap iron will with the basic blue Increase DEF or both as you suggested, spear and shield is also an excellent mod to throw in and any other cooldown mods you can find that fit to make your ability spam even better! Also check out the short I posted to see a trick you can use to build magnetic force early in intercept battles!

I followed everything you help me out with and is no Running a 3p extra Catalyst build (And yes it is my main build thanks to you ;)) ...so I got extra HP and "Weighing the Scale" in there as well. But If not the HP... Do you have a tipe for more than "W---the scale" ...is Extra HP the best?
Because as you said...He is preatty darn tanky but will put him self in some really bad positions some times.

Extra HP is great if survivability is an issue for you! Defense and HP are amazing stats ans MUST haves on almost ALL descendants. It never hurts to build into either! If you dont have already, check out Spear and Shield, very strong module!

OMG you filter for defense as "defense" and you miss that, there is literary a blue mod that gives you a shit ton of def, but it is say DEF and not defense you you never see it :D

I'm totally sure that when u activate magnetic spure it depletes all remaining magnetic force... But I see, you are activating it and your magnetic force is intact..
With your CD reductions, you could almost spam it.. I would recommend to upgrade Kyle's capacity and add a module to maximize the range of abilities.. I will try this when I go home
I activate spurt everytime its off cooldown unless I know i'm about to take damage! Super strong and super fun!
im pretty sure for the reactor. if you switch to ur MG. you wont get the benefit no more since yours is SG. im sure thats how it works. so its better to have one with MG on it since u use that most of the time.
the weapon only has to be mounted/held in hand for ultimate reactors, the rares just require you to have that weapon in a slot!
I REALLY REALLY wish they buff shields soon. HP and DEF is meta and makes you invincible. It’s so sad actually that going for shield is only because of skills. Better have 0 shield but 20k hp and 30k+ def than 4-7k shield if you even can manage to get that. And then guess what, the shield is getting melted down because it seems like def isn’t scaling with it? Atleast I heard so and it definitely feels like it too. Then we have NO way to recharge shields properly (there is a hidden module to get shield back with combining modules but yeah good luck with getting that). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE buff shields so that people’s actually diverse their builds and that Kyle actually can recharge their shields up to thousands and not hundreds. Please.
Edit: Enemies drop the hp packs why not shield energy batteries too? That would be a small buff for it. But still just a small one.

@@Eefann I REALLY love Kyle. His ability to recharge teammates shields is so good but you know they have a very small shield pool. Atleast those that know Wut they’re doing. I walked around with 4K shields on Kyle and I only had ONE encounter with a teammate, where I didn’t recharge their shield fully. It was an Ajax. Which means, he had more than me. Which was totally ok and I don’t want them to primarily focus on shields only but I want them to have 2-4K shields which isn’t made out of plastic. I am getting emotional about this because it’s so sad and actually very boring because going for hp + def builds is SO easy. Even a Bunny who is supposed to be either glasscannon or well not as good damage but added survivability but they’re being a tank, fast af and still doing very good damage. Even some tanks die before my bunny def hp raid build. It’s cool but at the same time annoying to know that shields are no option. Aah I am looping I am sorry about this haha I’ll stop.
Am I missing something or is taking iron will over the plain increased defense module always worse? Iron will requires you to be at 0% shield to be active at all while increased defense scales to 160% at 16 points and is unconditionally active. My own build looks nearly the same but I put in an energy activator and a couple more catalysts to allow skill expansion for more reliable AoE quality of life on the shoulder tackle and ultimate.
My reasoning for this was to build Into the fact that you want your shield to break other cool down to get the magnetic force regen and shield regen, so this makes it to where you can get your shield broken more easily and play into the magnetic care passive. However, running the straight defense mod, spear and shield and an iron will if you have the space would be the most optimal if you have the capacity to do so!
@@Eefann Magnetic Care has a cooldown of 77 secs at 75% cdr so how are you "playing into it"?
@@Dingzilla when I play Kyle I mainly focus on managing the uptime of my magnetism spurt for invulnerability, the only time I let it go down is on SC cast and when a big mechanic or damage hits me, that’s when magnetic care kicks in and gives me all my shield and force back, and I go back to managing the uptime of my spurt. So the extra defense in my play style only matters mostly when spurt is down, and when it’s down it’s usually also when my shield is down. Using the base inc def is 100% viable and up to you if you’d like! You can even combine the 2 and drop focus on tech for even more survivability!
@@Eefann Kyle scales off shield so in my current build no An Iron Will and fill the last 5 slots with. Amplification Control, HP conversion, Potent Collector, Spear and Shield, and Non-Attribute Syncytium.
Amplification Control = More max shield also range so easier to hit skill 1,3, and 4
HP conversion = More max shield, less hp
Potent Collector = Free magentic force on kills
spear and shield = some def and more skill power
Non-attribute Syncytium = crit resistance and more skill power.
If you need the HP, replace Syncytium with Battle of Stamina for hp and duration which helps keep spurt up a lil longer
With this u get like 20k shield and 40k magnetic force. you keep your magentism spurt and magnetic force up with cdr with skill 1 and Potent collector. Also you nuke harder

It is sad how slept on Kyle is. He is perhaps the most tanky descendent when played correctly. Not to mention he has the highest burst damage ultimate in the game right now.

I run Focus on Tech, Focus on NA > NA master bc cooldowns are king on Kyle and Conditional Recharge can be added but isnt a priority, this is something you could slot in a freebie slot when you have "Extra" space! Hope this helps!

I am really unsure on how many crystallization catalysts to use on characters? I am guessing that filling every slot with a symbol is overkill? I have 3 catalysts left I have used 2 on Kyle (the same ones in this video) not sure whether to save them for another Descendant or just go all out on Kyle and fill as many mods as I can?
If you want to take your Kyle to the edge you could forma/crystallization catalyst every slot and absolutely deck him out! It depends if this will be your only descendant or just one of your few mains! IMO, I think you should save some and try other descendants, you might find a new main that you love.
Leave one slot naked for resistance mod it will help a lot on the big bosses but remember to forma the bottom left slot to add another 5 to your capacity. I’ve got 4 on him atm plus the 2 he comes with.
I finally got the self directed explosion....it sort of sucks....small range and uses up bar quick

Great video but wanted to note that I ended up swapping from Iron will to just the blue defense mod. The defense values are similar and I was having an issue where when my shield would start to regenerate, I would just get bodied by the next attack I took because I would no longer have the increased defense from Iron Will. Could also be a me issue, but have been liking the build a lot since I made the switch to the blue defense mod. Subscribed and looking forward to more content!
This is an excellent change and keeps your defense higher at all times, great job! Also, note that you can slot both if you have extra space if you did like the +90% after your shield breaks, or find another defense mod to stack on, just keep in mind the first big drop off for defense starts at 40-50k! Kyle main here, love the build but I have one question. Is there a reason why you don't run HP Conversion (shield) for the 158% shield, yes it decreases hp by 52.4%. Both Conversion and increased shield would give you 300% shield so was just wondering if the health decrease was too much for you to run it.
the health/defense is much better than shield, shield is very weak atm and the dmg increase you get is great, but not if you cant stay alive, however, one of the main reasons I love kyle is his versatility in builds. you can go full defense, full dps etc. !
Health is weaker than shield for kyle, you basically have 3 shields with your spurt and passive, it also makes your ultimate hit like a truck, rn I run 10k shield 500 hp and can facetank ALL hard bosses no problem

Is the skill mod in the shop? If so, you should consider buying instead of farming for days or hours
If you are talking about the Energy Activator, it's sold for 1,200 caliber. IE $25 for an extra 20 mod slots. Better off farming it unless you have a lot of extra money.
If you’re referring to the transcendent mod, in this case I would have bought it so I could show you guys exactly how good it is, but in normal circumstances, farming for the mod isn’t that bad I just got atrocious rng and the game was not on my side haha. Regardless, the transcendent mods aren’t purchasable from the shop unless you get an ultimate skin pack bundle.

When Bossing and doing Kyle's 4th ultimate skill, should I fly into the Boss or smash into the ground under him for the best damage?
direct forehead contact always adds a bit more damage, a good headbutt will get the job done! On a serious note you can direct or land close but if you hit the ground you will usually get put into a "stagger" animation and not be able to move for abt 1 or 2s so its better IMO to hit the top of the boss and jump or repulsion dash right away to avoid the stagger/stun as much as possible!

the tamer only has a 10% base crit rate, so building crit might not be your best
the same goes for your own abilities, i'd not build for crit as your base crit rate is like 4% for abilities
If ult damage scales on magnetic charge, why do you do the same damage at 30% charge as 100%?
Probably scales on the max value at all times. The easy way to test it would be to lower or increase your shield to see how the numbers fluctuate.
Why use iron will instead of normal increased DEF if normal increased DEF gives you the defense all the time without having to lose shields?

There’s not a specific reason I chose iron will over increased DEF I was looking for mods that synergize well with Kyle’s play style (or at least how I play him) and that’s always up close and personal so my shield is always down. Like I said I would suggest running both if you have the space to, but if not you can slot increased DEF instead of iron will!

All very underwhelming sadly. Albeit fun like dragging around the adds with self directed eruption or spawning a ton of balls with superconductive bombing, but the performance is not where it needs to be. I hope to see a buff to them in the future! If you do decide to go for one, superconductive bombing would be my rec. just know your dps will tank with it

Just got his Transcendent mod. We farm swamp- walker on hard 10 times got it on the 11 try
the grind paid off! sadly I dont like any of his mods :(

This will get you through endgame easily, however, his potential is through the roof! Just wait for someone to come out and showcase a decked out Kyle, I have high hopes!

@@dfillio8993I've seen a Kyle absolutely nuke a 15% increase greg clone. He phased him in one ulti and a SMG clip. He is devastating with full charge
@@dfillio8993ypur talking about a pure tank with meh damage, and glass cannons (lepic is a beast overall) but Kyle is a tank with arguably the strongest scaling ulti in game.

Hey! right now I'm torn between Enzo or Esiemo for the next build guide after Valbys is done. I'm gonna make a poll and see what wins. However, with that being said, regardless of the winner I will be doing a guide on both I just don't know which is first!
@Eefann either Enzo or Esiemo is great because they are new and there is little to no good guides yet. Skip Gley. Every other creators have a video on Gley - crowded field. Your Kyle was very good and nobody had something like that at the time. Be sure to do a real gameplay demol like how you did for Kyle. Dummy test only is boring and unrealistic

Why use iron will instead of the actual defense up blue mod?
@@GST.Spectre oversight on my part this is the better mod to slot, but slot in iron defense if your kyle is decked out and had a lot of space!

Skill power modifier stat is a trash for Kyle, he need only Skill Power stat, so "Iron Defence" mod is way worse than "Spear and Shield" mod.
And "Focus on Tech" mod is good only for -6.1 cool down reduction .
Avoid Skill Power Modifier on Kyle at any cost, sped more on HP, Shield and Def stats instead.

@@str8vlogs900 I would upgrade it as much as you can as you get more capacity! Another great mod to try is sword and shield and the same applies, upgrade it as much as you can as you get more space with maxed out being your goal for both!

@@KevinCalvelli yeah the drop rates have been absolutely awful, and it appeased the drop rates were incorrectly displayed based off todays hotfix notes/patch notes. Hopefully the grind gets a little less painful starting today!
