It takes a strong and confident partner that understands what it is like to be a truck driver, myself for example I am on a different shift than my wife going pretty much 5 days without really seeing her even though I am a local driver, you have to prioritize your relationship/marriage if you want to make it work. I’m not saying it is easy but it’s about sacrificing and working towards your goals as a couple.
True story! I got off the road, started working local took a loss of abt $2-$500 but it was worth it, i can go back but quality time is more important to me
Every relationship is different, but I do agree to having a straight up conversation. I'm a female trucker, if you've supported and stood by your partner in their decisions professionally/personally even when you did not agree or see eye to eye but you worked through it. AND now YOUR making decisions professionally/personally but they are being a stick in the ground and not bending when YOU bent for them... It's time to do your own thing. It happened to me, ever since I got my CDL (8yrs ago) my ex and I broke up because he could not support my goal and journey. My CDL has still caused riffs in my relationships even today, a relationship is give and take.
Hey anthony i just got my cdl and applying to gfs i stopped smoking marijuana 2 months now and not going to go back to doing that what drug test do they use at gfs
Good thing I broke up with my ex girlfriend last year who I didn’t even like my best friend tried to set me up with her niece I don’t think it would of work out because my first year I did OTR and Regional now I’m looking in port driving work
