Every time that Lang has been downed and picked up by the cops its been in ambushes, where it is pretty obvious that everyone who was downed wasn't ready for a fight. No illegal guns on anyone with Lang, no one is blacked out, no one is carrying contraband. If you can't talk your way out of a situation in which you were clearly the victim of a hit, then you are doing it wrong.

I thought of one exception to what I said before, in the first OB war with The Company (before house-heist). Both sides got 100% downed and cleaned up by the cops and only The Company went to jail. That said, Lang's crew was in full Sani gear and riding a garbage truck, and their plan, regardless of outcome, was to say they were running Sani, the other group pulled up to rob their materials, and they just defended themselves. This was in the first big Sani war, so it was a pretty good cover, since trucks were getting hit left and right.
