Hi Vegas Zoom. I agree, its probably the most beautiful spot we have ever been. From the village area of Portofino its about a 20 minute walk up a lot of stairs to the castle at the top. We paid I think 5 euros to get in and it was well worth it. We spent a fair bit of time up there looking at the views.
Reagan and April Bax thanks! We are in Florence tonight and I’m looking at how close it is to the S. Margherita L train station. We are going to spend the day in Portofino. Then head back to Florida (My wife works at the Portofino Hotel in Orlando, so she’s super excited to see the real thing) how did you get from the Hotel to Portofino?
@@CFLARROW We took the bus to Portofino. You can buy tickets in the hotel lobby for the bus! But we took the ferry ride back as its just so beautiful to see the area looking back from the sea. Ive been to the Portofino hotel in Orlando and its great but its got nothing on the real place. Make sure you go up the hill to Castello Brown as its got the best views of the area.
Reagan and April Bax yeah I’m looking at Google earth trying to plan. The bus there seems to be the way to go. The ferry sounds amazing. I’ll look up Castello Brown now! Thanks for all the advice. It’s kind of intimidating not speaking Italian and not having any cell service unless you’re at a WiFi hot spot.

How many minutes is the walk up hill across the village of Portofino? The view from that point is astonishing .
