I wonder if M night Shyamalan was inspired by this to make his upcoming movie about the people on the beach who age rapidly.

"He's a big man now so he cant hurt us!" Has to be improv. I wonder if the creator of Bane was listening to an episode about a certain south american with growth serum

Originally syndicated as part of B.F. Goodrich's summer series of "SHADOW" episodes. There's music fill at the beginning and end for a local announcer to identify the sponsor and the local Goodrich "Silvertown" tire dealer in your community (and a "custom" commercial for the local retailer at the very end).

Mm... Now this is a special kind of vintage. Even comes with the old ads in between. Pretty sweet find here.

I always saw Harry Dean Stanton as being a good Shadow. I remember reading the comic book where Batman meets the Shadow as a boy.

This is by far, both the most disturbing, and most depressing episode of the Shadow, which I have ever heard.
It reminds me of the 2011 movie Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark.

Written by Arch Oboler- who had quite a career writing fantastic- and often depressing- stories featured on radio's "LIGHTS OUT" {"Cat Wife" is an excellent example}.

Victor Wadsworth sir do you remember the name of the episode of the shadow your speaking of where the shadow meets Bruce Wayne aka. Batman as a boy? As a fan of both I would like to listen to it? Thank you.

Eric Oquist actually I think that happened in two Dc comics issues where batman and the shadow teamed up and Batman revealed that the shadow was his greatest inspiration for becoming the Batman and we find out that he met the shadow when he rescued him and his parents from armed robbers...the shadow was actually quite honored to know this from batman.
The whole arc was sort of adapted in the animated episode "Beware the grey ghost" with the grey ghost taking the place of the shadow.I like both as well, but I like the shadows outfit better.

Yes I do agree with you sir, and I to like them both I am an avid listener to a variety of otr shows, but I think my favorites are The Shadow, box 13, Johnny Dollar, & the one I can't remember that starred the guy that did dragnet? In fact I think he was doing the detective show @ the same time he was doing dragnet?? Do you remember the detective show?? Thanks for your comment though. :-)

Old-Man Parker Yeah, I could easily see Bruce Wayne and Lamont Cranston hanging out at the same swanky club. Wonder how Margo Lane and Dick Grayson would get along?

Yeah! No kidding ah?? LOL :-) and ya never answered my other question sir? what the name of the other detective show was called, that starred the same guy who played in Dragnet? It's driving me crazy?:-/ cause I can't remember? Hope you can help? :-)
