I just love her face .... Her presence speaks elegance 💅🏽
She's been the mom on almost every good black movie I've seen I like her
I love her, but she was a mess on Madea Family Reunion lol. Her daughter said GO TO HELL, she said I vacation there, I love that part
She played the hell out of that depression scene in The women of Brewster place! I cry every time I watch that scene!
usadrones it's on YT. Just type Her real name and The women's of Brewster place.
Chocolate Capricorn - Yes she did. Her dear friend Mattie (Oprah) literally rocked her back to life. POWERFUL SCENE and an amazing movie with sooooo many layers.
Ladenna Young The grieving scene is on UA-cam just in case you wanted to see it again. Watch with caution! ⚠️
all i can think about is her in "a thin line between love and hate " she played the part so good i feel like in real life she is that crazy
I love her face. Especially her eyes!
Have her and Diahann Carroll ever been in a movie together? I know it's off subject but I'd love to see those two in a scene together.
Always loved her she is aging fine like wine
She looks great!
I just love love love how elegant she is and I hope to grow up to be that amazingly eloquent and graceful!! Sending her blessings and love.
Rolling my eyes at everyone who's disrespecting others religions. As long as we're not hurting anyone, why be disrespectful. Religion, in general, isn't the most "realistic" concept, but that's where faith comes in.
The most powerful message 1:21-1:45. She is telling the true. What a testimony.
PURE GORGEOUS WOMAN
She is amazingly beautiful
She’s my auntie in my head. 😂 Absolutely one the best black female actors. 🙌🏽
This has blessed me. Thank you for your candor.
"The're's a little spirit that wants to come in and we should let her in". "My daughter Grace. She's amazing. I'm so blessed. Sometimes we don't know, but God knows. Everything that seems like it's a mistake at the time; that it's the wrong thing at the time, hard at the time; that something is being taken away from you; You're being given a GIFT. It just doesn't feel like it."
That chanting part made me laugh. lol. Can't wait to see this.
Loved her in "Sophie and the Moon hanger " ❤️❤️ she's in an amazing actress .
"Hi UA-camrsssss!!" " On YOUTUUUUUUBE"💀😂😂😂the way she said that lmao
She’s killing her role as Lady Mae am loving it
Very true words.
Amen And amen NEED to hear that right now wow we serve a intentional GOD
Aww children are blessings I love her
She will always be a beautiful queen and a beautiful person
I absolutely love her!❤️❤️❤️😍😍😘😘
Wow I didnt know she fell in love and married the director of the JB story! Also if you want to learn about Josephine Baker, I'd say read her autobiography and then immediately after read the biographer her "son" wrote (He clarifies a lot of what JB wrote). His name is Jean Claude Baker... he owns a restaurant in New York, Beyonce met him and did a tribute to Josephine at the BET awards during the BDay era I believe.
I just love me some her!
She’s 💯 right about God giving us a gift is a relationship not meant to be or a job not meant to be
Thanks I needed this
Wow!!!! I love it!!!!!!
When she spoke of her husband's buddism ritual 💀😄

Love Grace Gibson!
Love her so much that's a star
A true queen 👸
Fascinating story about the little spirit.
If he really referred to it as her, this should make all who doubt the existence of a realm beyond this one stop and rethink their position.
Wow 😢😊😇
This Brought Tears to My Eyes
Buddhism, good stuff.
I really like seeing Lynn Whitfield on the big screen and small screen, she is so talented and beautiful with a natural womanly way about her, not fake, built like these girls today, Lynn I seen you in the Marvin Gaye play, you are such a great actress, natural talent.
OWN is a difficult app to get working. Frustrating 👎 and beyond. Thank God for Hulu and the binge watching. OWN does put the episodes of THAHNS up on UA-cam for a few hours but you have to be available. After 25 years of network viewing that we have to pay for OWN and it's not an easy task. WiFi is the only way as most cable companies do not offer it. It's a single 20.00 a month payment. UA-cam on the other hand rocks! (Free).
Grace is dating one of the Smollett boys now
Mama cheetah!
that was a narrow escape
RIGHT
Amen
Love Lynn Whitfield as an Actress, & believe that she's blessed by the life of her daughter. With that said ... there are so many "red flags" that go off while listening to this. Oprah's intention is "empowerment," & so, it strikes a sensitive chord to listen to accounts of women not being empowered. First, Ms. Whitfield admits that she was "kind of Christian"... What the heck does that mean? It's like being "kind of pregnant"; either U are, or U're not, and if U're not, that's okay, but just own up to it, and be clear. Lack of clarity is not empowerment. Then, her husband receives a message that a child is seeking to "enter the world through her," or something. Okaaaaay.... Did SHE receive a message? How about a confirmation, be4 she allowed herself to become pregnant? Finally, and this is the part that hurts the most, Whitfield and this man divorced about two years after their marriage. WTF??? This long tirade may sound really judgmental, but I would like to hear stories of "lasting" relationships, wholesome family values, and commitment; not just random accounts of spiritual messages about children entering the world, not backed up by the fact that the parents are fully committed to living out their lives together, as a family, "until death do us part." The husband died several years later after he was re-married to someone else. Not sure of her race, but prob. not another Black woman. That's neither here, nor there, but this story don't sound like "empowerment" to me. Sheesh, Oprah, can U help us out a little better than this?! Nothing against U, or Lynn Whitfield, but what messages are we sending to younger generations? That it's okay to be frivolous, airy-fairy, and in the moment, without any "grounding," or lifelong commitment? Of course, none of this tirade means anything except that it's just my opinion. Doesn't change the course of their lives not one bit, but hopefully, it can change the course of my life, or anyone who shares the same values as me.
Got it, run from men that see spirits🤔😌
How is a person "kind of Christian"?
A person that doesnt want to be a hypocrite. Closer to actually being spiritual with Christian overtones
She probably grew up attending church so identifies with the religion. But personally is open to doing other things on her spiritual journey. Example the crystals etc. ..
Am I the only one who thinks she looks like Vanessa Williams.
James Darling Jr ,
I DON'T 'SEE' the RESEMBLANCE, 'EITHER'!! 🙄😕😐😂😂
well there is something called contraception ya know
healingypsy Considering her daughter was more than likely born in the 60s/70s, I don't think that was very common especially considering AIDs and other sexually transmitted illnesses came about from lack of using condoms, etc.
Okay, just so we have our facts in place. As far as I am aware there was a variety of contraception a woman could chose from in 1991 when this actress's daughter Grace Gibson was concieved. I still say makes no sense a man wants to have a baby with you and you don't want to have a baby but concieve anyway. When you don't wanna have a baby and the man makes it clear to you that he wants to, unless you were a moron, you'd spread your legs anyway and that too without any form of contraception. Point made I hope. If you still don't understand, ask to be reborn as a woman.
healingypsy she was nearly 40 at the time and had been married before. A lotta women once they get that age and havent already given birth feel as if it won't happen.
Just Alan I agree, she didnt really hit her peak until 39/40,I imagine she didnt not want the baby but when actresses hit their prime at a later age,its like a once in a lifetime deal and also she hadnt conceived yet so she probably felt if she didnt have it then, she never would.
God is very funny. You mean to tell me, S/HE gave Lynn a daughter whom she named Grace. And years later she plays mama to a daughter named Grace on Greenleaf?
Σhe is incredibly desirable!
She's REAL LIFE crazy Bruh
wasnt i thinking that...she played so many evil rolls thats the spirit that came in...look at her eyes she better runnnnn back 2Jesus...smh
She still fine :)
Oy vey! If some dude who never has to get pregnant a day in his life came running to me with "a little spirit is wanting to come through" I would be like, "THEN YOU FREAKIN' BIRTH IT". Isn't it so poetic and lovely when you're the one who doesn't have to throw up every morning, gain 100 pounds, and endure several hours of labor?! Oh sure the baby is nice, but the MEANS by which the baby comes here might not be so. JESUS! And when they play that soft music in the background....VOMIT!!!!!
Debra Debra Yes!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂
When I was expecting my son I was so sick for the first three months. My husband made the mistake of saying, "How hard can being pregnant be?!"
Needless to say, God in his infinite wisdom and humor removed my morning sickness and everything else that ailed me and passed that on to my husband for ONE DAY. My poor husband was so sick he stayed in bed all day and whined the whole time. 🤣😁
Debra Debra ha ha ha ha!!!! Oh my gosh it is so true. Oh well I am sure she feels it was worth it now.
Mimicakes Wow I am so glad I am not married yet maybe it is best to get pregnant before the wedding sometimes so you can see what type of man you really are with without being legally bound.
Lmao
She got hit by a car in N.Y..
SkyDream Lyrics Production
She was unhappy because HE decided to have a baby with her AGAINST her wishes!
BUDDHIST CHANTING?? 🙄😒
"JESUS CHRIST 'IS' LORD!" 🙌 JESUS/YESHUA,👈👉 (IN HEBREW)! 🙌😎
Addapubliccmment
She needs to accept Jesus as her Lord and personal savior. That Buddhist stuff isn't realistic.
Beauty Secret mind your own business. People are free to worship whatever God they choose. How you so sure that your Jesus is God🤔
Beauty Secret where in the world did that come from. the interview was not about that.
Too bad it didn't last he died young anyway she might as well have stayed but nobody is clairvoyant! Interracial love is so beautiful!
I only am now learning Lynn's daughter name is Grace. It is interesting that Grace was the name of her character's daughter on Greenleaf.

She is still gorgeous, when she speaks I can't help but to think of elegance and grace
Natasha Parham ABSOLUTELY
