My take from day one was Marshall is trying to show everyone he's always been Slim Em and Marshall all along. Houdini confirmed it for me, this face off cemented my belief. If you honestly think Shady didn't show up on Kamikaze or MTBMB with all the disses and fuck yous then ya haven't been listening. He's wasn't as controversial purposely using trigger words but it was still Slim. Stay blessed 👊🏼

Em truly is a genius. Either that, or he sat down for 5 years and planned this album to perfection...as he usually does.
You don't want to do Slim anymore, but a majority of your fans have wanted it for a long time. So you give it to them one more time, but also take care of putting it to bed in the same breath. Amazing marketing and I think the actual death of Slimshady happens in a month or two.
A double album as a retirement album, presented in this way, would be amazing to watch.
Either way, I'm selfish and I totally want another album or side b.
