Nice video. You commented on how light the boiler was to carry, I wonder if this indicates that the heat exchanger is thinner gauge stainless steel? Hopefully not !
My engineer didn't fit a PRV is this needed? Is this the copper pipe sticking out and what does the pressure release valve do etc 12:23 in the video Thank you
Nothing wrong with budget boilers. Heat input/flow rates ,reliable components and crucially a clean system and you can't put too much QUALITY inhibitor in the system!
Hi, can you tell me is there a timer with this compact boiler? Or do I have to buy separately. I rang gloworm and he told me there should be a timer? I can’t find if so! Many thx
Really informative video on the compacts. Can you range rate them? What are your thoughts on boiler controls? Being ex bg when i left i always fitted hive as it was what I knew. I now try and fit makers controls especially on glow worm and vaillant for efficiency. Just curious on what you do in general?
Hi thanks for the comment. I don't believe you can manually range rate these no. They do however accept weather compensation sensor/controls. You should always install the manufacturers controls where possible. This has Ebus. I normally just do what the customers want. I advise only , I'm not loyal to any particular brand or control so I treat each job separately as they come. The hive has good smart features, but offers no weather comp or opentherm so it's pretty poor really. Cheers.
Hi can you help please , I have just had a brandnew boiler fitted and the gas fitters having a problem , It is LPG Glow worm compact 24 boiler , for a week now every day they have been trying to solve problem , problem is the heat for rads are set to 75 on boiler , when I put on 35 on Thermostat it runs for 90 seconds then stops calling heat for about 6 minutes , this is happening all the time please help if you can , many thanks
You can get a return pipe adapter to take it back to normal combi.

Watch all your videos pal there always brilliant jobs go above and beyond
Thank you for watching. We really appreciate it 👍
Great informative video. How do I put the pressure up?
There should be a flexible filling loop separate to the boiler. Usually located close by.

They come set on auto range rate but can be altered in the installer settings.

I do not trust those magnetic limescale preventers at all. Wasted money.
They started putting aluminium/plastic parts ima boiler. Makes me feel uneasy
